Maturity is understanding another person’s perspective on religion and belief without imposing your belief on them .

People need to learn to listen, just listen and not agree or disagree with what is being said.. Just listen. When this guy was talking about God, religion and ancestors, I decided to do that... I didn't even want to engage my thoughts in what he was saying... Sometimes we get confused and lost because we try to get involved or engage in everything that people are saying.. Sometimes you just have to listen and not even take it to your head or question it.. Its his opinion, angihlangani, It's not a research I wanna do right now or an engagement I wanna have right now.

As an agnostic atheist in South Africa having grown up in a very religious household, I must say that it is quite refreshing to see a black public figure openly discussing their atheism. Perhaps more people will actually understand what kind of thought processes lead one to non-belief.

From listening to him he is not really an atheist, he is more an agnostic: he doesn't downright reject the existence of God, he just asserts that it can't be proven.

Woow Loyiso, touched the subject I have been telling pple abt, I grew up a Christian in Botswana and then when I came to China, I met many pple from different countries and beliefs... that is when I realised that religion is all abt what is popular or accessible in a country... for example in Southern Africa majority are christians, middle-east, North Africa and some parts of Asia are Muslims, some Asians Buddism and some Judiasm and Chinese almost 98% don't believe in religion bt money and wealth......

I honestly thought I was crazy for not believing in christianity. My mom is a staunch believer but I questioned it since high school. Being a good human being doesn't require one to be religious.

Part 2 got serious and I love it. Shout out to your truth Loyiso and Shout out MacG for all the great interviews.

With every guest on this podcast there is always eye opening moments and a big shout out to MacG for being able to bring that out from people. Talk about raw and uncensored.

I've never heard of this guy till i watched this interview. He's a solid guy and level headed. The only reason we were brought up to belive in a Christian god is by default of where we were born. Ask yourself one question: Why does my religion makes more sense than the other person's religion? It's because we heard about other people's religion when we were old enough to reason and ask questions that didn't make sense. Whereas with our religion, we were spoon fed by adults whom we respected and looked up to for guidance in life. If they believe in this religion, surely it must be right, atleast, that's what we thought.

So we respect each other and no one is trying convince the other...we are just bois and thats it and we talk about religion and spirituality all the time and we never argue. its definitely maturity.

His comments about belief and the bible are interesting. The bible leaves you with more questions then answers. I agree that we do create our own purpose.

Enjoyed this interview very much. Enjoy Loyiso's acting, he is truly gifted. As a Christian I cannot judge him for being "atheist" however there is a simple explanation for the light without sun chat. God simply spoke light into existence on the first day therefore nothing stopped Him from creating some sort of temporary light source until He created the sun, which would be our planet’s light source from the fourth day. God is above the universe, and Creator of everything, therefore it is within His power to create light without the sun. In fact, the Bible tells us that in the future, we will have light without the sun once again. At the end of the world, the city of God will have “no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb” (Revelation 21:23). Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, will be our light.

Damnnnnn that was one hell of an interview , honestly I expected a Loyiso Gola type of an interview, cos he does look like an introvert from a distance.

I remember a friend tell me how he met and got to hang out with Loyiso about a few years ago somewhere ko Rosebank. The way he was going on and on about how cool Loyiso is i felt it was very weird ( coming from a guy ) but after watching this interview i TOTALLY get it now. Very chilled and genuine guy i must say. Dankie Loyiso my man you know I don't like to label myself as an atheist yet I hold the same beliefs as you do about religion.I'm really not for it at all. As soon as I studied history in high school everything changed for me. People are just lazy to think deeper about things that's why we have politicians and all these pastors playing with us...
