Bobby Hambel is one of the founders of Brooklyn’s hardcore institution Biohazard, which is credited to be one of the earliest acts to fuse hardcore punk and heavy metal with elements of hip hop. Bobby and the band have had their fair share of ups and downs in their career, but were able to build a strong following thanks to their no-bullshit and down-to-earth attitude. We are proud to present you this interview with Bobby, in which he explains how things have changed over the years and what makes the band tick these days. Watch and learn.

Bobby single handedly taught my my first leads and the pentatonic scale. I only wish I still had the paper he drew it on. Dude didn't know me, he just knew I was a 16 year old in the area and he had the day to teach me stuff. Invited a buddy and myself over, and treated us like gold. One of the most under-rated if not the most under-rated player in the game in my opinion. Touches so many lives.

100% true - Bobby is THE most underrated and loving guy in the whole music scene. I had the honor to meet him twice - before and after a gig - in Brazil. He was always approachable, friendly, treated me like an equal. I never had the chance to tell him this, but he is the reason why I fell in love with Biohazard - when I saw him spinning with his Gibson back in '93 - still the most beautiful think I've ever seen onstage. I confess sometimes I cry watching him doing it. Fucking great guitarist, fucking great person. DFL

Spent a fair share of time at Bobby's house...met his family...chilled with him quite a bit. No doubt in my mind that of all the people in the scene he is the realest of them all. No ego. no shit talking no nonsense. One of the few people I don't regret wasting some good years of my youth with

Music is for u n me not the fucking industry get the book everything you need to know about the music industry,it tells you how to produce n publish your music n keep the industry out of your pocket n let's younown your music n do what you want with it instead of conforming he just said they didn't make money the label did they had to recoup what label gave them break the chain n cycle
