You can't do lowering blocks since the axle is under the springs. You can do a axle flip kit to move it to the top of the springs or go with a 2nd gen explorer 8.8 which goes on top of the springs with discs and can have optional LSD. For a mild drop for free you can flip the rear shackles by removing the rivets and flipping the shackle hanger. The Explorer grill does look a lot better. I used a chrome one on my 89 XLT.
Yes I’m not sure why I said that. I’ve done axle flips on Rangers before. Was definitely a lapse in brain functioning! I was probably thinking of shackles since I’ve done lowering shackles on Rangers before as well and it all just came out wrong.
