Such an exciting start to Track and Field in Paris!

Love the backstory Kara on the conversation for the 10k push to air. It was iconic, gave me goosebumps watching, and absolutely talked about in rural Oklahoma Saturday morning. It was by far the most exciting event for me that day.

I'm so excited about these episodes! I never cared for the Olympics before, but after discovering the podcast last year, listening to your books, and watching Sprint, I suddenly found myself loving all the track and field events and have been super invested. I live in Germany, so some names that you sometimes mention I've never heard of because they more popular in US races, and now seeing them racing at the Olympics is such an aha and wow moment! I'm having a blast. Thank you, truly!

Another plus for the Repechage is if you have an Athing Mu-type incident with a favorite falling down and not qualifying.

Great podcast episode. And that 10K race was phenomenal. Not sure is it’s a great analogy… but just as a 90 minute soccer match with only one goal can have plenty of compelling entertainment, an elite 10k can be thrilling as you build the drama and anticipation over 27 minutes. Thanks for everything you are doing to grow the sport.

Kara-love your call of the race! Really enjoy your conversation about the races. You always catch the things I see and always point out little things that i missed. Keep doing what you do!

Great content ladies. Thanks for the extra effort to give us more depth to the Olympics. I too was surprised by Allie Wilson’s opening performance . I feel like everyone was racing it like a final.

I was at work for the 10,000 and almost everyone was watching, especially the last 200. It was incredible. Definitely need to hype this distance more!

Loved this recap! When eatching the Prime time coverage I could not figure out why we were just getting the end of the 10k but so glad to see those last laps. So exciting I accidentally woke up the kids 😂

Y'all do a great job on your own, but being fed the drama on a daily basis is just going to take this up another level. Cant wait for your next drop and for the rest of the games to unfold.

Well, they fixed the commercial bullshit we talked about last week. I’m 12:23 in and not a single commercial as of yet. Did y’all say something?

Not a huge PR for Young, he ran 26:52 at The Ten. It is however, just his THIRD 10k ever. He ran two sub-27s in one year, at age 21. That's never been done before. Michael Johnson can shove it about the 10000m.

I did not know either but looking up Desiree Linden and then searching on Kara got me Kara Goucher and Wikipedia says: "In January 2023, Goucher began a podcast called "Nobody Asked Us" with fellow runner Des Linden." Clicking on the channel name will get you the same info.
