I was a freshman in high school when YikYak was at its prime and there were like two fights every day at lunch until A) some kid claimed that the science teacher raped him (he didn’t). B) Another Kid issued a bomb threat and a few other kids threatened to shoot up the school. That was 7 years ago and they have had a police detail patrolling the hallways ever since. We had a giant assembly where the principal said that if they found YikYak on your phone, you would be suspended and possibly expelled, and your phone would get confiscated to find out if you were the one issuing the threats.. The bomb threat kid got expelled and he was tried as an adult but they let him off with a fine, The false rape accuser kid (he admitted that it was a prank after the teacher had been let go for a year.) was expelled and his family got sued.

It's honestly so refreshing to hear that Noel wants to do stand-up, I hope Cody does it more often too. RU-vid has always been a place for them to flex their comedic muscles, but he and Cody both belong on stage.

I remember Yik Yak most of all because I actually got a YikYak branded treat bag during the early promotional days. Some YikYak brand ambassador had hid treat bags all over campus and hinted at the locations on the app, and I actually found one in a parking lot. My friends thought it was sketchy and made me not eat any of the candy. But it was also a good way to find parties in progress in any given night on campus. Atleast until the police caught on. The rest of it was just regular inane college student crap.

I stopped watching and returned a few days later and was listening to them talk about a TV show but forgot that it was and thought this dude actually quit his job by being murdered just to be talked about on a fucking podcast called Tiny Meat Gang LMAOOO
