ACS, your passion for VU and your understanding about what makes it unique, and your comments about the challenges that VU faces from within and without are just absolutely spot on. You were always one of my all-time favorite players , and the way you finished your career was herculean. All the best to you in the future
I'll always remember the Georgia game my freshman year in 2013. My parents, alumni also, my brothers, and grandparents all came to watch. If i remember correctly that was the game you tour your ACL, which made the team win and your leadership even more impressive. I went to every home football game, guys and girls basketball game, and 2/3 games per weekend of baseball I was in town all 4 years at Vandy. Whenever I speak to colleagues about my experience at Vandy, I always have to explain that the student athletes at Vandy are even stronger academically than the normal students because they take the same classes at the same times, and take the same tests, etc. Im in Atlanta and even GT alumni dont have same experience as that. Im glad to hear that Clark Lea and his staff seem to understand that dynamic. I figured he would as an alumni. Thanks for making awesome memories for me as a student there! Not many can say they were at Vandy when Vandy beat UGA, TN, and FLA in the same year! Hopefully we'll do it again soon, and get the odd South Carolina monkey off our back while we're at it!
I've been hooked on Vandy since my first game in 1989. 2011-2013 were glorious. We have the money at Vandy, we have the donors, we need to capitalize now.
I knew of Tim Beck, Jerry Kill and Diego Pavia ❤❤❤ Pavia was committed to UNR when Jerry Kill called him and said "I'm going to Vanderbilt and you're coming with me". Because Pavia had no football offers coming out of HS in Albuquerque he had to go the JuCo route. He won the JuCo Natty and Jerry Kill offered him a shot at NMSU where Pavia helped that program get to their first ever 10 game win season that year. His most impressive game at NMSU had to be the upset against Auburn. They also went on to win a Bowl game. Some unfortunate things happened between the rivalry with University of New Mexico in 2023 and the next year everyone was out of there. Although he committed to UNR in December 2023 after that call from Kill he chose to go to Vanderbilt out of Loyalty ❤ I have met the guy a few times and I will just say that he is a very very confident young man. I was happy for him when he beat Virginia Tech that first game. I hope him and Vanderbilt can get another shocking win this season.
They didn't mop the field with Alabama okay genius we had to many penalties to keep your drives alive fact!!!! And you barely won you will win one more game all year lmao 🤣 😂 😆 😅 no playoffs !!!!😅😅😅
