What’s the problem with having too much of something? In this episode we talk about gluttony and how it has a sneaky impact on our life. Our culture typically celebrates having more when it may actually be a sin.
May the Lord bless everyone from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! I love drinking coffee so I'm a very moderate person and try to drink lots of water.
I can't imagine that's what they meant, but you are right that the ways they mentioned it could have been interpreted as "porn is a problem of gluttony rather than a problem of lust."
It seems like it'd be an easy and obvious distinction for most Christians, but as JP said, it's such a normalized thing in our culture that this is an important clarification, I think.
@@Raleford they treated the subject so casually, and from what I've heard, there's a rather large percentage of Christian men who partake of pornography. Maybe women, too. Such a large group, they seem to truly believe that "everyone is doing it": thus it's okay. But no, not everyone is doing it.... and no, it's not okay. I'm kinda new here. Is this a "progressive Christianity" channel?
@@natashamudford4011 I'm still relatively new myself, but it hasn't been from what I've seen so far. I think it was one of those "i knew what I meant" kind of things where they were focused more in the topic at hand, so it came out wrong, though JP usually seems pretty careful about what he says. I wouldn't mind seeing this addressed and clarified, for the sake of believers who are unclear in the issue of porn being sin.
