I'm a big fan of Posca Paint Markers. I was lacking a variety and thought about trying a new paint marker brand. That's when I stumbled upon the Fumile Acrylic Paint Pens/Markers. Hear about my honest opinion about the Fumile Paint Pen Brand and see me use these in action as I create a Wood Canvas Painting!

Are these better than Posca Pens? No. But, they are a great alternative. I don't think the Fumile Brand packs quite the same punch as Poscas. With Poscas you can expect vibrancy and even coating consistent throughout your painting. With Fumile, the offer of variety of tones and colors is difficult to ignore. However, after letting the paint dry and looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes the next day, I can see that the paint fry's out translucently. The packaging states that the paint is opaque, but wasn't the case. I'm sure I need to go back and reapply more paint to get the desired results I was looking for. All of this in mind, I would still suggest the product to those that enjoy using Paint Pens/Markers. Hope you appreciate the feedback. I love the swatches. It helps to see how the paint lays and how much the color changes as it dries. Also I always found the name and number not very useful bc I have yet to find accurate caps/labels to the actual marker color. A swatch sheet is pretty much necessary for all markers I think. Great video! Thanks for all ur work you’ve done on it

Thank you for this review! I just purchased the set of 120! I am excited to get started as I have never been able to afford to try the more expensive brands. I do appreciate the clear barrels on non-metallics and will make a color chart before beginning. Thanks for the tip about twisting the plastic to remove!

Great Video! Thank you for making and sharing this informative tutorial. Now that you've had some time with them, have you tried to replace the nib? If so, what did you find that works?

I've had them for a few months and have not had to replace the nibs yet. I do have a paint marker that looks like it will dry out soon because I use it a lot in my sketchbook and on wooden canvases. I know for alcohol markers you can use tweezers to remove the nibs. I'm sure the same can apply to to pain markers, but I've never tried. Hope this helps.

Great Question. I've looked in many different places and can't seem to find any replacement nibs or away to replace the ink. If you do find out let me know =)

Hey Fred! When I covered a small area on mixed media paper it took about 45 seconds to dry (think color Swatch box). When I covered a larger area with more paint (same color Swatch box) it took about a minute and a half to dry. The more paint you put down, the longer it takes to dry. When I did the Bulbasaur I'm the video, I painted in different sections and didn't have to run into the issue of waiting for an area to dry until it came time to paint the grass on the bottom. Hope this helps.

I like using Ohuhu Alcohol Markers over Copic Markers. Thanks for the Recommendation on Tooli Art. I think I'm going to end up purchasing some supplies from them and try them out! =)

=D Thanks. I think the Fumile is a good alternative that provides variety. However, I will say that the paint doesn't necessarily pack the same punch as a Posca. I'll continue to use Posca, but I will probably lean on these for when I need to apply midtones.
