The beauty of a handmade piece is the imperfections. It makes them unique. Your friend will feel blessed that you thought enough of her to make her gift. Don’t be hard on yourself. I love all your beautiful stitching.

I appreciate so much your comments about imperfections being what makes a handmade piece unique. Since my friend is a collector, when I make her a handmade piece her other collector friends all seem a bit jealous because they cannot have one of the same as it is unique. I don't do it for that reason, but I do love to give her pieces to add to her collection because she enjoys it so much. Wishing you a wonderful New Year! Dena

Sharon, I am about to start stitching here in a few minutes. We have had breakfast, opened gifts, watched a Christmas movie and had lunch, so now I think since the kitchen is cleaned and I have made the chicken salad for dinner, I can take off and head upstairs to stitch! Dena

Thanks so much Sarah! I am working toward getting one more WIP to a better stopping point for transitioning into next year. I hope I can do what I want to do in the next couple of days so the Year of Wips will be easier to obtain considering I have 40 new starts planned. LOL. Hello Dena, hope your Christmas was wonderful. You hit the nail on the head when you said some of you may not be crafting because you are busy cooking - yep! that was me but it was so much fun to see my family and to hear that they enjoyed what I made so my stitching will be all the sweeter when I get back to it. Your finish on 'Joy' was really pretty, I loved it. Cocoa looked like she was having fun with the puppies at Fred's. Thank you for a lovely video and wishing you happy stitching, Teresa 🎄♥

So happy you enjoyed your family at Christmas! Thank you for the compliment on my JOY finish. Cocoa did love the puppies. Our dog sitter says Cocoa's maternal instincts really kick in with little puppies. Makes me a little sad that she was not allowed to ever have puppies, but that was a condition when we purchased her from the breeder. Be careful with your pattern against the plastic it will stick! Happened to me! Never took it out to set in a hot car or in the sun at all! Raggedy Ann turned out so cute !!!

Carolina S, we did have a wonderful Christmas. My hubby was so happy that we got to attend two theatre performances (one a musical Christmas play and the second a concert of the Atlanta Pops Orchestra). We also had the Living Christmas Tree, and we watched several Christmas movies this season so we truly celebrated. Looking forward to a wonderful 2024. Dena

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Joy turned out really cute. I am working on vintage Christmas sampler by Lori Holt. I needed something easier because i kept making mistakes and frogging. I am doing it for your birthday. I already finished one ornament in December. Your friend czook did a whip parade and showed the project she started last year for your birthday. Again Merry Christmas and CoCo will be excited.

Cocoa was over the moon! Three new toys! She took one hour to rip open the first one and get the squeaker out, about another hour to rip open the second one and get the squeaker out and she was tired, so the third one is still in tact. LOL. We got some footage of her opening her present, so I'll share that. LOL. I hope you are enjoying stitching on Vintage Christmas by Lori Holt. Merry Christmas! Dena
