Carolyn, thanks so much for the clearance on starting your birthday SAL early! I may start that today! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate having the dog sitters we have! They are tremendous! JT is doing great! He moved in November to a new location where his best friend since childhood is living and working which makes him very happy. However, he is 5 hours away now instead of 45 minutes. First time he has been that far away, but it is so good for him. That is why he hasn't appeared or I haven't mentioned him coming over because it is too far. We talk every week though. Have a great week! Dena

Hi Dena, dentists not my best friends but good teeth necessary. Love all the stitching, when you were discussing the backstitching on Soring Quilt it took me back to when I first started stitching when everything seemed to require backstitching for definition. I had a break while my children and job took over. I loved that on my return things had changed dramatically. Finding flosstube added to a feeling of community and highlighted the differences in fabric, patterns and display techniques. I wouldn’t dream of stopping now . I stitch along while watching flosstube as I don’t know other cross stitchers so many thanks to you and all those who take the time to make videos.x
Sharon, like you I took a break while raising our son and pursuing my career. However, since 2014 when I left the workforce, I have been stitching like there is no tomorrow. Making up for lost time I guess. I also felt the big changes that you mentioned and am grateful for all the wonderful new products and especially the feeling of community. Teresa, so glad you liked the little picture depicting the difference between the non-backstitched and the backstitched quilt. I do think backstitching gets a bad wrap sometimes. LOL. Judy, you know we cannot say Fred's name in front of Cocoa unless we are ready to go there because she knows his name. Now I just learned while telling my husband that I put the little video of Cocoa eating her puppychino in my latest video, she froze and stared at me in anticipation. She has learned that word! I am currently just doing knitting and crochet. But when the stitchy bug strikes I do that. But I love putting you on regardless. So sweet and genuine.

Elaine, being able to have the person who wrote the music direct you in how to sing it to bring out every emotion and thought he was trying to convey was an experience like no other! Linda, you can see and hear the entire service from Sunday (I am in the second row on the right in the choir). Just go to the website for our church fbcgainesville.org and click on the worship services and chose the date from Sunday and you can see and listen to the music and as much of the service as you like. Dena...thanks for your sweet visit...I had a dental cleaning this morning and refused the dental assistant's second go at flossing...a January Covid has left my mouth very sensitive...I should have reported it to the dentist...so glad that your choir singing was such an awesome experience...you amaze me with all you accomplish in stitching...and Cocoa is so much fun to watch...best wishes ❤❤

So many fun, little finishes! And your choir time sounded lovely. I miss being able to sing in a choir - our church now is very small, so I sing with the worship team once a month, but it’s definitely different than learning parts and singing together in a choir. 🥰
Sarah, we chose this church when we moved here because they had the full choir. We both love to sing (my hubby is a soloist), so it was very important to us. I am glad you still get to participate in the Worship Team though, that helps. Enjoyed your video yesterday! Dena
I absolutely LOVE the Spring Quilt pattern!!! It’s beautiful! I’m going to have to keep that pattern name in mind. The back stitching really brings it out

Hi Dena. That was quite a dental story…ouch! I’ve spent many hours in the dental chair…root canals, crowns, 4 implants but have not had that happen, except a piece of floss that shredded and got stuck between two teeth. I don’t like it when they do the flossing anyway. I think it’s the worst part. I’d rather do it myself! Beautiful stitching, especially the quilt with the backstitching. It really makes a difference. Always love seeing Cocoa enjoying herself, treats and all!
Diane, well, the dentist said this may turn into. root canal down the road, but I hope we got it in time. Makes me a bit frustrated that a former dentist's poor fit on the original crown caused me this problem. Nothing I did they said. Oh well, for now it is good. Now back to stitching. LOL. Dena

The concert and all the choir specials sound absolutely amazing, although I can definitely understand why your voice was a little froggy after that. I got a crown in Jan. and had to wait 3 weeks to get the permanent one on. You were lucky. Cocoa is so cute. He sure liked his puppy cappuccino. I am working on Valentine quaker. It is so pretty all in pink.
Kathyn, I love that pattern. May have to get it down the road. I love pink. Also, Cocoa has learned what a puppy cappuccino is now and we cannot say that word unless we are getting her one. She looks at us with a hard stare of anticipation if we say it. LOL. Dena
Hi, Dena. I had a Leap Year start on the 29th. I felt I had to commemorate it as it is the birthday of one of my grandsons. He was 12 (or 3!) on the 29th. The last time we had a leap year, 2020, I hadn’t started stitching again. My start was Winter Sampler by Crocette a Gogo and I have been enjoying it. So much so that I struggled to put it down to move onto my Wipgo calls. Christine from Ontario
Christine what a lovely Leap Day start and I am so happy you are enjoying it so much. I decided not to have a Leap Day start since I have so many planned starts this year (40) and have already started a couple of extras already. Good thing I got my WIPs down in 2023 because I will surely be adding to them in 2024! It is all good though because I am finishing lots as well. Happy belated birthday to your Leaper Grandson. Dena

Hi! Had something to say and forget. Lol but yes definitely can see difference with backstitching, even though I don’t enjoy doing it.. lol. oh my I can’t play piano anymore either. I can’t read the music well enough to keep fingers on time! But I so love piano! Everything was beautiful and such fun to see. My daughter’s dog passed on night of 3rd. The boys 5 and 3 are sad and confused. Benjamin 3 was matter of fact then this morning told lisa you and daddy have been so bad, you need to go to jail. You leaved zuri in the van all night. She had to explain again her body isn’t coming back. Older has been very quiet and has decided he will do anything to make everyone happy although she has said okay tobe sad and cry. Sad days and they are 6hrs away😢. Your voice after singing sounds like my reg voice when my reflux is bad. Sigh. But you sound just fine to me.
Cindy, I am so sorry to hear your grands have lost their beloved companion, Zuri. It is so hard to know your family members are hurting and you can't make it go away. But, I hope they will recover and have another to love someday when they are ready. Hope you have a good start to your stitching this month. Dena
