I think black hinges myself or maybe Keswick green again... sometimes people can pick out too many details and makes it look too busy. But black hinges with the black heavy duty hood sticks will look cool 😎

My 90 is Keswick green, I fitted the Gore security hinges in black, they do look great, bit of an upgrade from the originals 😀

The newer the parts the faster they are rotting. The mirrors on my series are still good but straight glass. I have ordered convex mirrors as a replacement and they started rusting right away!

perhaps when you upgrade to aluminium ones matching them to the body colour will result in a stockier look, which is what I'd go for. 2nd best choice is probably matching the rims with a rather glossy black, which will create a contrast with the satin black of the mirrors, especially as it ages

Was the Defender designed to self corrode? For the sake of a few pound on fittings they'd last much longer.
