This topic is very relatable. I moved to U.S.A. in 2015 and after that my friends started saying to me, "lucky ho yar bohat." But little did they know how much my dad was working hard to give us a better life in Pakistan. Moreover, the people who I only saw in my school also started contacting me, wanting to become friends with me. I definitely saw a huge change in the way people treat me; before and after moving to U.S.A. And now that I have a job and I am earning in dollars, they think I'm rich and living my life to the fullest. If I'm earning in dollars then I'm spending in dollars too.🤷♀️ We all just love to assume about each other's lives.
yess! for some reason, people back home tend to think that life is easier here and that money grows on trees. & the point about earning in dollars is so common. it's not like we earn in dollars and then spend in rupees.

I would like to give one advice to ppl who desire to move abroad. And I may say something different from Hamza. Yes you have to be educated! But don't become a doctor or engineer and expect to be a doctor in Canada or US, Europe. Your gonna waist your money in Pakistan because your gonna have to study abroad from scratch to become a doctor. Keeping this in mind. I strongly suggest ppl who have education and hands on experience in IT field.. Your gonna have a good jobs right away. IT is the only field that is recognized globally, if you have certifications in IT with experience you are gold. So to the ppl who'd like to study something and want to move out study in IT or technology

If anyone is willing to come to Dubai...first of all life is not easy here as you guys think. Situation is same as Hamza has explained even its more worst now due to COVID-19. If you are educated and want a good job in UAE, it will be very very very hard to find it. If a person is from Pakistan or Bangladesh than most of the jobs available are the odd jobs, and if you dont have experience in UAE than you cant get any job, rare chances if you have 4-5 years experience(not less than this) in your own field in your country so you can get a job for 2k-3k AED.

Same story happens with me, i came to dubai to look for a job on april 7th 2017, i got a job in 1 week but i left that job on may 1st 2017 because of that behaviour of the boss, i was on 3 month visit visa, then after that i struggled alot alot, i was giving interview every week but things were not coming in my way, that on may 27th i got a call from abu dhabi, the company gave me a test, i did i test and sent it to them, then they call me to come to abu dhabi, i went there they said u have to give 5 days trial before we tske decision then i came back to dubai that day and packed my stuff and left for abu dhabi again, i stayed in hostel for 5 days and it was ramadan i didnt had enough money, so after 5 days working with them, i ask them whats your decision they said we are waiting for 1 project if we get the project we will give you offer letter, THIS THINGS HAPPENS ALOT HERE, so they said in 1 month hopefully we will get the project, they were playing with me my visa was expiring in 1 month, so then i left that place i was in a bus i was upset i wanted to cry i worked hard for a job but they lied, so when i was in a bus i said to myself that i will keep looking for a job till the last date of my visa, so i came back and gave an interview on 20th july and test was successful and after eid they gave me and offer letter i went back to pakistan then came back on work visa. So what i want to say if you really want the thing or whatever you looking for, you will get but never ever giveup and NEVER COME SLOW May be my story was looking simple but trust me when you have to give a rent and you dont have a job, its very difficult to survive. Im not from a well financial family background.
