I like the old kids movies, especially Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer 🦌. I know that probably dates me, but I have some happy childhood memories of watching this movie and Frosty! So glad that I found your podcast!
Happy 2 years 🎉🎉🎉 Cheers 🥂 I enjoy your podcast and especially the video on how you make your sweaters. I have to say, Christmas Vacation is my absolute favourite Christmas movie. It’s not Christmas until I’ve watched it.
Hi Nancy! When you said Christmas Vacation was not your kind of movie I said aloud to you “I’m not sure we can still be friends Nancy!” as the joke in our family is that it’s not Christmas until we’ve watched the Griswald’s! However, you recovered very well with The Holiday…one of my favorites too! Seems strange to be talking about Christmas when we’re enjoying our beautiful and short summer. Enjoy your day and happy knitting 💜
That's too funny Kelly!! My favourite thing to tell customers is that it would be boring if we all liked the same things 🤣🤣 I think all of the years in retail can make me a little Scroogey around the holidays 🎅🤓
Always so delightful to catch up with you Nancy! I’m over here swooning at the idea of your Jelly Bean Green Sunshine Coast! It’s going to be amazing. 💚💚💚
Thanks for taking the time to say hi Leanne 💕 Yes ...that Jelly Bean is amazing and I need to make that sweater happen next spring 💚 Hope you're enjoying your summer ☀️
I’m torn between the Alistair Simms version of A Christmas Carol and White Christmas. I’m a sucker for anything Danny Kaye (I’m an anachronism). BTW it was lovely to meet you at KnitCity!
I want to find a streaming service that has Danny Kayes Hans Christian Anderson. I watched it as a kid and remember it being fun. So also a Danny Kaye fan 🤓 It is so fun to meet other knitters in real life....thanks for coming to say hello 🥰
@@knitsiphappyI used to have vhs tapes of a whole bunch of his movies. I was more than half in love with him (although I’m not even sure that he was alive at that point!)
Miracle on 34th Street is my favourite Christmas movie! Two years! Time flies when you’re having fun! I so enjoy watching your podcasts! 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Happy Knitting!🧶
I so enjoy your podcast! My favorite movie is White Christmas! Family memories and I even have a sweatshirt with the sisters dressed in their blue dresses.
Congratulations! I love your podcast so much - can't believe it's been two years. I have to say, one of my favorite movies is "Christmas Vacation" - not because it's so wonderful, but because when it first came out, our whole family went to see it together. That was the last Christmas that my mom was alive, and the last time the whole family was together at Christmas. So the movie holds a special place in my heart. 😊
Thanks so much for being here with me 💕 I totally agree that a lot of the joy from Christmas movies is the family memories and traditions that we create while watching them 🎄🎅
Congrats on two years of podcasting. I've enjoyed all my visits with you over the years. I have two favourites (although I like a lot of them!) and they are The Bishop's Wife and the 1953 A Christmas Carol. They are both must watches every year.
Thanks so much for being here Paulette 💕 There have been a few recommendations of the Bishop's Wife and I'm not sure I've ever seen it, but I love Cary Grant. I need to add that to my viewing list 🤓
🎉. I’d love to get spinning this July. I have all the supplies just need to start. Maybe some Christmas movies while spinning would be in order. My favourite Christmas movie is White Christmas 🎅
@@knitsiphappy I am. I have only sat at my wheel twice. I am currently going to try with an electric ashford and see if that works for me. Hoping by mid July I can get started.
@@heatherevertsen9991 It can definitely be intimidating. My biggest advice...even though you didn't ask for it 😆😆 ...Be prepared to be terrible at it. I found it frustrating and addictive at the same time. Practice daily and you'll be surprised how fast it gets easier and the results get better.
Love your spinning......such beautiful colors. And it is funny but my favorite Christmas movies - its a tie - to Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story......
Happy Podiversary! Can’t believe it’s been two years 🎉🎉🎉 if I watch any it’s ’the holiday’ for me even tho I live in the Cotswolds- we never have a white Christmas!
Hi Nancy congratulations on your 2 year podiversary. Beautiful socks and loving your works in progress. My favourite Christmas movie is The Polar Express, I am a big Tom Hanks fan. Also old fashioned movie White Christmas. Wishing you all the best for planning the wedding. Hugs ❤❤❤
