In Episode 4 of Sixers All-Access presented by Crypto.com we follow Tyrese Maxey aka The Franchise. From his family first attitude to his first NBA All-Star game get to know the guy behind the smile.
Tyrese is such a good kid. His parents did an amazing job w/him..Met Maxey in Vegas for a minute before his 1st summer league. He was a really nice respectful kid. Loved him ever since. And he didnt have to be so nice, I work for a hotel he stayed at but he was nice to everyone. Believe me, most pro athletes couldnt care less about being nice to staff. Not Tyrese. He's a legit good dude.
@2:20 This is gonna sound soft, but for some reason Rese greeting the kid, turning around only to quickly turn back to make sure the kid grabbed shoes too put a tear in my eye.
I became a huge fan of Tyrese during the draft process after learning about how he is as a person because I believe that is what separates athletes. He reminded me of how I felt about Hurts coming into the draft where you have this kid whose the son of the coach, an amazing work ethic, and doesn’t just say the right things, but truly believes it. Maxey is different tho from Hurts in that Hurts carries himself like an alpha whereas Tyrese carries himself like a beam of light in a dark world.
Philadelphia is blessed to have the Maxey family apart of this city😇 I agree with your Mom Tyrese, don't change!!! You are a great role model for the youth of Philadelphia 💜
I remember when Maxey was on the bench the first couple years and he was always the first player up to celebrate a big bucket or be up for a time out. Total team player- hope he never changes
