I too almost screamed when I saw the first Freckled Whimsy Halloween club~ but I’m an addict to her work (I get her Harry Potter and Christmas clubs too!) I really love your support of other shops, it’s just one of the things I love about your podcast!
I am quickly becoming a fan as well, I might have to get all the clubs! 🤣 Thank you for saying that. We love supporting other shops. We always say there is room for everyone at the table. Each person or maker is unique and brings something special to their work. It’s what makes this community so great!
Lovely episode Kim. Love your Colour Palette socks🪼, they look great! Your Coral Reef colourway🐠is stunning! Aww thank you so much for the sweet mention! Loved the advent talk, can you believe it's June already next month? Like where is this year going? Yay - you've just uploaded another episode!!!! Your Halloween self striping yarn is amazing 👻 xx
Love watching your podcasts and knitting on some socks! I started watching ThePlayfulKnitter after hearing about her from you and just love her podcasts too!
Haha! 🤣 what’s really cool is that you could hold fingering weight double and not even do the colorwork at all if you didn’t want to. Just follow the stitch counts and it would still look great! I might try that sometime as well.
Thank you for an amazing and inspiring episode❤And thank you so so so much for your sweet and kind words🤗I’m thrilled that you like the bags🥰Big hugs to you all! Love, Malene🤗💖
The first thing I thought of when you showed the Halloween yarn was Summer Sock Camp. With the 80s/90s theme those colors would be awesome socks for that!!!❤❤
What I would do it it was me to fix the sock thread would be to use a coronation thread and tie it off inside and run it up the yarn maybe even with a running stitch for more stability. Then retread the yarn into place and use the thread to tie it off and secure it including running a stitch or 2 in the back to keep the stitch in place.
I love my hot water bottle but I don't think a lot of people use them. I have a tunisian crochet/crochet hot water bottle cover in my eysy shop. It's been a few years and I haven't sold it once. Lol
take a sewing needle and blue thread and try to catch both end from the inside of the sock and sew it together or chain stitch around the loose yarn? just an idea
For sock repair- is there enough loose yarn to spit splice a longer piece to and then use that to grab the live stitch and secure by weaving in? I hate when that kind of crazy thing turns up after you’re miles away in your knitting! 😮
Loved your color palette socks!.. Would it be possible to spit splice another piece of yarn onto the short bit, then make any needed repair and weave in the end. If the yarn will not work for a spit splice, maybe a Russian join?
