I’d love to sit with my Mom….she and my Dad died of Covid three weeks apart in April of 2020. I miss them so very much. My Mom taught me to knit socks which is my crazy obsession…..I thank her every time I finish a pair. Thank you, Ruth…you are such a dear, kind person!

Hi Ruth. I voted the long videos because I thoroughly enjoy knitting with the wonderful RU-vid bloggers I subscribe to, like yourself. But on occasion I’m so lucky enough to get to spend time with my lovely daughter, who works in a yarn shop, and lives and breaths knitting, herself. An hour with my favourite RU-vid bloggers is the best way to spend my evenings knitting, but a day spent with my daughter, knitting and chatting is sheer bliss! Cheers, Jen xx

I would like to knit with my grandmother. She crocheted, but I taught myself to knit. She died when I was ten, but I think we’d have a great time together working on our crafts. Love your podcast, as always. I’m glad to know someone else can have challenging moments knitting. Grateful for your devotions at the end. They have been a real comfort to me lately.

Love your podcasts. I only learned to knit after I was 76 years old. But when we were still all at home with Mom and Dad, we used to always sit with Mom and do hand work. There was five of us sisters. I often think back of those days. I love that shawl you showed us.

Another lovely episode, as always. I always feel like a good friend is just chatting away telling me what she made that week. As to whom I would love to sit and knit with, I really wish I could knit with my mother again. She taught me how to knit when I was 7, and up until the age of 13 or so we would sit under a tree during the summers and knit away together. And then I became too cool to hang out with her and we never really knit together again. I grew up, got married, had 4 gorgeous daughters, and realized I never was cool in the first place and these days get my kicks from sitting and knitting (and a bit of whisky on the weekends). My mom passed away 14 years ago and now I wish I had gotten over myself a lot quicker and knit with her more.

What a joy it was to sit and listen and watch along with you while working on my cowl project. I hear you with the hormonal brain fog... it’s very frustrating and I find it upsetting and definitely shakes my confidence. I have to remind myself that it’s part of this ‘season’ of my life. I’m so glad you went right for your happy shawl place. I would like to sit and knit with Gerard Butler (but I don’t think he knits 😆) He could just sit there and I could hang out with him while I knit. Haha. My husband’s Gran was a master knitter and she gave me her needles and pattern books before she passed. And by the way, we don’t need professional podcasts, we need podcasters that put their personalities and souls into their podcasts, that is what makes them really interesting ❤

Ruth, thank you for your joyful podcast. What an uplifting time spent with you. I loved your sharing at the end, It fit so perfectly with some things I was planning to share with my Bible study next week. This will be my icebreaker question as we meet for week 1 of our study on Amos. blessings

As a teenager I had my dream Saturday job working in our local wool shop. I often worked with 2 ladies called Edna & Glenys. They were both so kind to me; Glenys would often pop out to the butcher next door to buy us pork pies to have with our cup of tea! Forty years on Id love to have a cup of tea & sit & knit with them both.

I would like to sit and knit with my father. He was an excellent knitter and taught me how to knit when I was a child. He would be so amazed at all the wonders of the knitting world now that just wasn’t around when he was alive. We would have lots to talk about! ,

I would love to knit with my grandma. I don't remember seeing her knit but I remember the slippers she knit for us. It would also be fun to knit with you.😊

I would love to sit and knit with my Nanna. I have so many questions I'd love to ask her. She taught me to knit, crochet and sew. I have so many happy memories of her. The Ballyclare shawl looks like a lovely pattern to knit.

I would like to knit with my daughter. She died 2 years ago much too young. She did not knit but was very crafty, weaving, painting and generally making a beautiful home. I think of her often whilst knitting. Happy memories. Sarah xx

I think technology is great because I get to knit with your vidoes as well as Jana from Finnish Knitting Stories vidoes. I find both of you personable and easy to listen to. I get to spend time crafting with my favorite person, my mother this weekend.

I'd love to sit and knit with my daughter. She moved to California a couple of months ago. I miss her so much. I live in Michigan, (U.S.A.)where she and her new husband also lived. Now they're thousands of miles away. We talk often on the phone but don't know when I'll be able to see her😥 I was able to teach her how to knit, crochet and sew when she was little as we're both left-handed. Thanks so much for your up-lifting and cheerful attitude. I find you very encouraging. God bless!
