Laura…so thankful you made it through this hurricane. So heartbreaking to see all of the devastation. Have you been able to get back to your home in Sanibel yet? Prayers for you and your family❤️
Was the olive around 41:20 an albino or just bleached out? Wow on all those live Horse Conch's. Was it a convention or something? LOL Thanks for taking me along!
A beautiful, if windy, day shelling. Really pleased you were rewarded with two true tulips for the one you left with the strange squatter. It was a gorgeous shell.
Beautiful video. Happy you are safe. Hope all is well with you and yours...and your home. So sad do see the hurricane devastation. Thank you for uploading.
Laura! So relieved you are uploading, I hope you faired ok during the storm. I am so heartbroken for you and your beautiful community! 😢 I hope y’all can come back stronger and as beautiful as ever!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Anita! Sometimes I schedule videos ahead of time so if something happens (like a hurricane and no wifi lol) they will still be here for you all at 7pm! Thanks for watching!
Laura, it is wonderful to hear your voice again and to read in the comments that you are okay. I’ve been thinking of you and so relieved you are okay. Thank you for your uplifting video, it was certainly awesome going shelling with you. Sending you prayers and hugs.
It probably was a little Octopi occupying your true tulip 🤔 they like to hide in all kinds of things. Love love all the live animals so beautiful. Thanks for letting us know they fared the storm pretty well.
Fabulous notion !. I had my sand dollars in a tight shadow frame...they don't take to that air tight compartment as well as I had hoped.I put them in glass vases for my Mom when she was alive. We really enjoyed reading about these critters. Laura shares alot of information in her videos !.
I think that would be therapeutic and comforting for many. If I had been through this storm, and moving there has been on my mind for a few years, I think I’d still find quiet refuge at the beach, it is part of my survival. I went through a typhoon in the south seas, and some around me didn’t survive, so I know it’s harrowing. Having down time like this can be balancing and healing. Praying for everyone in their every need❤
I am glad you all are safe. prayers for everyone who was effective by the storm. love seeing all the live and empty shells. I like you put the live ones back. the shells are beautiful along with the water and wind. just beautiful
@@virtualshelling I would love to know how it faired! I haven’t been to Dickman’s Island, but I did spend time at Tiger Tail Beach and that area is wonderful fun.
Sanibel is an island I never really knew about until seeing your wonderful videos. It will be back better than ever and I hope to visit. So happy you’re okay. 😊
Thanks, Carol! I post every Wed, and schedule episodes in advance just in case theres an incident (like a hurricane lol) and I dont have wifi! You can also touch base with me anytime in my shelling group on Facebook: Facebook.com/groups/sanibelshellseekers
what a great shelling video! Dickman's seems like it is usually a great spot. Breaks my heart to see what has happened after the storm. My sister and her 'work crew' are on their way to do repairs at her house in Punta Gorda. Don't know what will happen to my hoped for vacation there this winter.... {{shelling hugs}}
How is the shelling the second week in November. We are booked into North Reddington and want to explore other area while we're there. We've never been to FL
Shelling is usually great in Nov as it's the end of hurricane season and typically lots of storms come the end of Sept/Oct. The weather is nice too! Come on down!
@@virtualshelling We're booked for Nov. 11-16th but my worry is that Nicole hit on Nov. 10, 2022. We were supposed to go to St. Augustine when we left Tybee Island but ended our vacation early due to the forecast. We're really looking forward to the visit. Thank you for your videos.
What do you do with all the shells you find? All of ours are still in the container we brought them back from Sanibel. Some of the time we look for tiny shells, my idea is to put them on cards we mail out.
Hi Brenda! Sorry for my delayed reply. Most of the shells get sent out in shell boxes I send out monthly! You can learn more about them on the website! www.virtualshelling.com
By touching the critters, are you contaminating them? Do you know what I mean? It’s like what they say if a baby seal is crying out for its mom while on the beach, don’t touch it. Just wondering. Thx
