I think what makes MacG stand out from the rest of these Podcast and even Broadcasters.. Its his ability to listen and he doesn't try to make himself smart on certain subjects especially politics and other current affairs. He is not in denial of his weaknesses while he also understands his strengths. He has a way of incorporating humour and maintains his rawness and authenticity even in these kinds of serious discussions. He remains true to himself and his biggest strength, is to be able to make his guests feel comfortable amd see him as their friend.. Not the host.
The Landlord David Mashabela was behaving like a cool Dad to Mac on this episode.. When he kept getting out of line, he'd gently check him and gently nudge him back on line so that he does not derail the debate.. I love how they understand each other and how well they get along. He is indeed the coolest Landlord. ❤❤❤
I don’t think Mac realize how David admires his courage and fearlessness ability. He can just be himself around bro Dave even a naughty 😏son nogal he’s forgiven
That old man spend so much time, energy and everything dear to him to discredit the EFF but not under the watch of Prof n the 2 gentleman. This is 2024 n not apartheid old thinking as if is 1950
As a millennial, I actually really enjoyed this episode. The panel was great and didn’t fight to get their points across. They all definitely gave us something to think about ❤
True. I did too. MacG curated this well. The atmostphere was educational and empowering more than fighting out ideas. We need this kind of active citizenry. It needs to be as cool as being a chiller. The chillers will now be part of the greatest electorate South Africa has ever had. The next elections in 2029 and 2034 will need us to be fully engaged and using our political rights up, not just voting.
That's what we need as young lads, if we believe in something and we understand it. We must be able to stand on business. Mike is just being typical, I have watched his podcasts and I am completely shocked how he managed to get this thing wrong. Perhaps, fear🤣🤣🤣
What an important conversation. I needed this. I am 27 years old and it will be my first time voting this year, still not sure who to vote for, but I am registered. Shout out to all the first time voters, we will make the difference. #firsttimevoter2024 (P.S. I am 100% sure that the current government needs to change)
Nna I'm splitting. I like the DA's provincial candidate and he get along nicely with EFF (which may get him fired eventually by the DA just like Mmusi and Herman).
Definitely will turn this country into another failed African state, imagine thinking that voting for communists is a good idea in 2024, no wonder Africa is poor. 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
Only reason why this podcast is supposedly the biggest in Africa (if it even is)is because most Africans have not started hopping on the podcast train. Wait till they do and they will annihilate this podcast
I thought mooshtafa was going to be out of place in this conversation, this young gent is going to be someone big in this country, I admire his knowledge and wisdom. Congratulations to Podcast and Chill for this session, this is the biggest session they have eveeer had(my personal opinion). Thanks to Bra Dave for the blessings, to Bra JJ and Mike. This is The Conversation.
Dzamn I felt it when the gentleman next to JJ said we are strong people who are not assisted by the government but fighting for ourselves to survive otherwise we would have been a starving country. Mxm I might not have put it in good words but I heard it
May We Kindly Have a Part II to Discuss The Outcome of Part I (Elections), Please. Humbly Asking to Call Bra JJ, Bra Dave, Zims & Mr Mike Again. There's a Lot to Discuss, Again.
It was a very meaningful dialogue. One thing I can't wrap my head around is how everyone kept it respectful. Freedom of expression yet civil with each other. It was so much needed as we are beckoning one of the most defining elections in this country.
Please make a post election show with the different voter profiles the young professional, the unemployed young man, the single mother, the elderly matriarch, the student, the black, the white business man, the white professional, the Indian, tge coloured ect. Thank you for the great show
JJ the best journalist , now I know I’m going to vote EFF their manifesto speaks to me as a black person and I see them implementing all their policies should they be in power, because they have already have those plans so EFF ❤all the way
It’s episodes like this that should have a “Donate button” for more content like this. This podcast needs to become a media giant that reflects the majority of South Africans and becomes an institution that’s an employer of choice rivalling global corporates.
An Absolute must watch , it would be nice if the gents can come back for a debrief after elections . Mac needs to consider doing a state of the nation podcast atleast once a year
✍️❎✍️❎✍️❎✍️❎✍️ The EFF is a game changer in our politics, I think the most articulate and hardworking party. I don't have to like the individuals but I love their politics. The problems of RSA 🇿🇦 are deep and the EFF don't intend to do copy and paste solutions which doesn't disrupt the culture. EFF goes into the molecules and atoms of our societal problems which repairs long-standing problems and coming up with strategic solutions.
I've been waiiiting for this edition. This Podcast has now cemented its position in the country. This is the most important episode of the year. Yet most people will just mize it
Very interesting topic indeed. Let people own the land. Malema has explained in detail that EFF will not take your house. If you own a farm and 50 years have never used 30 acres/ hectares. That is what will be shared with the black people who are the original owners of the land. Who did they pay in the first place to have that land.💯🤞✌
No I disagree, Sol would have wanted to have his opinions heard because he reasons a lot and very critical and that would have kinda defeated the whole purpose of having experts as guests. Mac was the right person as he is less detached in politics so he listened more and spoke less but steered them in the right direction. I'm not taking anything away from Sol though, he's great but some interviews need a certain kind of an interviewer.
I am a proud chiller and i really enjoyed this episode. Political education is so important especially to us the youth.i urge every youth that registered to go out and vote on the 29th of May.
The fight for economic equality is a fight for all of us. The EFF stands with you in this movement for a more just and prosperous South Africa. They understand that real change comes from putting the power back in the hands of the people. VOTE EFF
There is always propaganda and fear mongering around the important issue of land from the same people that enjoy the fruits of Afrikaner nationalism from the 50s.. Most of them are benefactors of state driven initiatives but when it's our turn we are lazy and we need handouts and we will resort to anarchy like we lack the reasoning of humans
Mac G I am proud of you for doing this , please make sure that the whole of next week you stream a daily panel that discusses these issues with different panelists and expects
JJ thank you for educating these folks on the issue of operating together as one Africa. That’s what Europeans are doing and look at their Economies💯✔️
Wow Mac-G this episode is the highlight for me, you structured your questioning very well, here you have denoted that you really able to interview, outside the norm Mac. Proud chiller
Many young people (millennials and below) are very ignorant when it comes to politics, history and governance of SA - even the so-called educated among us. We know little to nothing! Shout out to P&C for bringing this educational episode. We NEED to consume this kind of content. I love that MacG asked questions that most of us wish to ask in a very laymans terms kinda way. Didn't try to be a pseudo-expert. Danko!
