I believe that Yuzuru was definitely someone, who was bitter about the Worlds happening and went there only to secure spots for Japan because if you think about it - he doesn't even want to travel to Canada to practice in the Cricket club with his coaches and instead stays completely alone in Japan to avoid getting infected, he upgraded from a simple mask, which he has been constantly wearing because of his asthma even before the pandemic, to the two layers one, and he constantly speaks up about how he is following all the guidelines, social distancing, etc. on all the interviews he has made since the beginning of the pandemic = taking into the consideration what could COVID do with his asthma, I definitely feel like he would rather stay locked up at home instead of going to Sweden for something as miserably managed as this Worlds.
