Great Junonian (sp) find even as only a part of one. How exciting !! Fun to shell At night as well day and morning. Can’t imagine a time that isn’t perfect to shell 😃
I love the waves in the background. seeing the eyes on the scallop was really an eye opening experience. I dont live anywhere near the oceans. I love the corkscrew worm shell. thank you so much for sharing it really helps me relax. I had a really bad day. this made me calm down and feel a lot better.
Hi Toni, thanks so much for your comment. I'm sorry you had a bad day. Sometimes when I have a bad day, I head to the beach. It truly us so relaxing, so I'm glad I can bring a little bit of the beach to you. The sound of the waves and having your mind focus on shells can be very therapeutic. I hope you're feeling better! ❤
So exciting you found that piece of junonia! Lots of pretty coquinas. You are a true sheller, I can hear the excitement in your voice! Thank you so much for your videos.
So so fun. I can't wait till you get back to shelling. I love the older vids but so look forward to some boat tours with you again. Morgan , Dickmans snd Kice are my favs.
Hello Laura, I started with you years ago. I had a smaller seashell collection then but it has grown considerably because I am now a professional collection and have rare. Expensive and common shells each cataloged. I have a lot of Florida shells I have bought to including the stunning Junonia. Love watching your videos. Trudy in PA
I love your shelling videos! So informative and you are a great teacher. Whenever O hear you say cockle (which was many times in this video) an old Irish tune about sweet Molly Malone pops into my head. And plays over and over and over again! On sweet Molly Malone, As she wheeled her wheel barrow, Through the streets broad and narrow, Crying cockles and mussels, Alive alive o!
I LOVE nighttime shelling!! I live in Jacksonville, FL, and the shells here are not very exciting. However, I still go looking!! It's easier to see the sharks' teeth at night, and usually not very busy at that time!!
Just before the pandemic I had gone to Cancun and found some really beautiful shells like a sundial and a lightning welk. This time when I went I wanted to collect some more but then I saw a video that said that hermit crabs were using plastic bottle caps to use as “home” shells. Considering I know what it’s like to be homeless I decided not to collect.
