Cliff, I've learned so much from your video presentations, and I'm sure many others have as well. This series should be "pre-requisite classes" before trawler buyers make their final selection! While few trawlers will be equipped with all the features you speak to, all your comments are food for thought in selecting a trawler and planning for short and long term maintenance. Hi again Cliff. The dual davit system is really unique. I've not seen that setup on any other boat. Have you ever run into a situation where you couldn't get your large tender off the boat because of the way you were positioned at the dock?

The wealth of knowledge from deck lights, cleats, non-skid floors, tenders, etc. could only be learned by years of experience and a keen attention to detail. From just about every perspective, teak decks are the gold standard, if you don't take into account their cost of installation, maintenance and replacement.

That said, they appear to be more form over function, with very appealing exterior styling and a great approach to marketing. Maybe you'll be able to let me know one day from hands-on experience? Thanks for your advice cliff, I have spoken with a couple of Navel Architects about the hull design and it's rated CE1 Unrestricted, I am deleting the swim platform and having the Transom extended so it will be a 26 metre yacht with a deeper keel plus larger fuel tanks hopefully extending the range to 8000 nautical miles, also deleting the top sun deck
