You have a nice truck & a nice trailer & you are trying to work hard I give you that. You need to research how to strap/chain legally for d.o.t. You also need to understand the customer rents the space on your trailer, if that load wasn’t the size or weight on your rate con they need to pay you MORE. Also the size & weight has to be correct so you can plan your partial loads. That truck bed put you over width. when you are dealing with DOT, you have to have that time on duty and posted as DOT inspection. You cannot be “off-duty” during that time.

The title translates to, the struggle is real.

Just have to exit to a better lane. Dead heads are the cost of getting to dead spots you need to add these into what you will grab, you went out of your lanes. Company booked triples on ride home this week but was short a bit and the tractor was 4 feet longer than broker had listed. Still great load home but the gravy was left in the Dakotas. Buy fuel and ask if they mind if you layover out of the way, then get food in morning and say thanks for let me stay and make a note of the place, names and hit it each time your there. Take keys in the Truck, remove or tie down the control boxes you do not want them to disappear when you stopped, tanks from the Dakotas are a major player for the summer. I love running the Dakotas to Wisconsin, winter is the best out there. Please tell me you did not leave a card at the auction yard we call them when ever have to be in area.
