Thanks for putting this video up. It's a great way to play Parcheesi. I have The Casper The Friendly Ghost Board Game and I found out while I was figuring out how to play it that it's Parcheesi! Hahahahahahahaha 😄😄 Oh man, I love this game. I got another Parcheesi Board Game with the wooden animal pieces. This game is fun. Hope all is well. I hear Mia snoring again. Hahahahahahahaha 😄😄
Good video. There's also a "home bonus" similar to the "capture bonus" you didn't mention. When you get one of your pawns home you get to move another one of your pawns 10 spaces.
Very, very good video of a game I've never seen. I've heard of it of course, and played Ludo when I was a wee boy, but Parcheesi is a game I know nothing about. Having mentioned Ludo, I strongly suspect it's a very close relative to this game, the similarities in the boards can't be a coincidence. It's funny how you have only just discovered rules to this game you were unaware of before. When I played Ludo, we'd throw a six to get out onto the board, bump people, set up blocks, and finish by getting up the coloured track to Home. However I too discovered this isn't the half of it. While I can't find it right now, there's a video drifting about showing how the game should be played; it's way more tactical and skilful than I ever realised. Anyway, I'm going on a bit here, I'll leave you in peace to plan your next video.
The instructions say two pawns of a different color can never share a safety space. I understand that at the home space. But what about the other safety spaces.
what happens if you're down to your last piece because the other 3 are home, you roll both dice and you get a number that makes that last piece land one space away from home. Do I move the piece one space from home and lock myself out of the game? Or do I skip my turn and wait to go again? Or is there something else that should be done?
