After a little bit of a rolly night in Hummocky, we decide to head for Great keppel Island.
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.
We hope that our videos encourage others to get on board and experience this fantastic lifestyle.

I would have been more comfortable if you'd had a 'fall back' but I guess you haven't got a spinnaker halyard for that :) Maybe some steps on the mast?

More memories. Fishing on Long Beach when a plane landed nearby and the pilot put his head out of the window and asked me directions to Svendson’s Beach. Walking the old track from The cabins to Long Beach and returning with a bucket of sand worms via Monkey Point. Thousands of Blue Mountain butterflies flying from Hummocky Island to the mainland. Great Keppel and Keppel Bay are magical places.

Geez mate. You put a lot of faith in that bowline. Well done. Maybe a figure 8 knot in the tail would make me relax a bit. Hope I can scale a mast when I'm an "old dude". Cheers Shane

You’re a nimble old bugga to get up that mast! Personally I hate anything more than 1m high so could not do a mast job to save my life! I’d be staying on the boat and letting Mon travel to Bris alone - cold and wet here …. Enjoy the trip mate and keep livin’ the dream!

Another great video Norm, love the shots of the rocks and the close-ups of the windlass. I've got a 24v Kobra windlass to fit, along with the anchor roller plate and I think it's called a bridle (it locks the chain off I think). I keep scouring everybody's videos to try to ascertain where the roller plate should go? It looks like I might need to buy an anchor and chain first. Then fit the windlass (the original builder had already dry-fitted it so I know where this is going) and workout where to fit the roller plate so the anchor doesn't collide with the front of the cat as it comes up.

Hey Norm are the marina's generally happy to use them to fwd send parcels? Maybe so if they know you & you stay there sometimes? Your looking very trim on the carnivore diet! Cheers Dude

Thanks Dude. Yep..marinas are usually happy to recieve your mail/parcels etc. If you stay there. The other way is to have them sent to a Post Office, which works well too. Thanks for watching.

Great video, many happy memories for me. Fishing with my Dad and visiting just about every island, beach and rocky shoal in Keppel Bay. But GKI??? It was always South Keppel Island to us locals, until discovered by southerners in the 1970s. Holidays there when Connie Morris owned a ranshackle resort and we were the only family on the island.

No Dude. The mast stayed up. Just removed the forstay.

Depends where you are Dude. Down south (Tassy..Victoria) pretty reasonable. The further north you go the more expensive. Whitsundays 150 bucks a night for Peggy Anne.
