I think it could be about Masilee Donner. Remember the Mockingjay pin was hers before it was given to Katniss.

If you think about the timeline….this book could be Ms Suzane picking apart what has happened in the past four years. Our response to the pandemic from the government as well as society, fake news, fact checkers, ect. If the dual perspective is what this’ll be in, I would think the best way to approach its theme of propaganda from an employee authoring the propos (Plutarch) who it works on (Careers/district one girl) and who can see the holes through it (Haymitch)

I got the news on my birthday! And If we are in district 12 (and I do actually hope we are.) I think it would be interesting if one of the pov’s is Haymitch’s girlfriend and the other is Plutarch and to see the games from those two different perspectives. So that we could get early rebellion with Plutarch, but also get all the 12 politics.

I think the book perspective could be about Haymitch, Masilee, Masilee's twin sister or Katniss's Mom or all the fourth.

Its funny how the discovery of the book announcements for both Ballad and now Sunrise for me took place in my room. I was actually working remotely from home last week when Sunrise was announced and I’m glad that I was home that day because if I had found out when I was at the office, I would have been too out of control. I got to fangirl and jump all I wanted in my own home. 😂 I specifically found out about Sunrise that morning when I was getting up from bed and someone on the Snowjanus discord posted a comment with their screenshot of the book announcement from Instagram and I immediately went to go double check sources to be sure it was actually real! I can’t believe it!! So excited for book 5!!!! 😊😊 With the POV, I’m definitely leaning into either Plutarch or a Career tribute/citizen as the one we follow given how much propaganda is going to be examined and be the core focus and either of those options have potential for that. It would be interesting and unique if this was to have multiple POVs since we haven’t had that yet for the series so far. I don’t think Haymitch is going to be the/one of the POVs we follow but he’ll be in it for sure. I also hope we might potentially meet and learn more about the victor from the 1st Quarter Quell since the second one is just starting and I’m sure it would be on their minds. I’m really wanting to know who they were. It may be possible they already died by the time the book starts, but we’ll see. Also, right with you there Emily regarding District 12. 😅 I know it’s a significant place in the series, but I am also getting kinda tired of always being there as the main district we properly see and live through when there are 11 other districts that we could actually explore more and get to spend some proper time in rather than just briefly (excluding the time of D13 we were in during a portion of Mockingjay). Panem is more than just District 12, The Capitol, and District 13 and it kinda makes the world feel smaller if D12 is all that we’re confined to as far as districts we learn and spend time in.

I think the book might follow katniss' mom or Maysilee's twin sister i think this because we havent seen a district pov during the games and it would be interesting to see propaganda in the districts

Boy I hope haymitch is friends with mr Everdeen or mellark when they are kids and teens. And also I hope this book doesn’t end with him winning the games and we know something more about his life after his games are over

hehe I mean you knowww 💜 I'm with you on Plutarch !! I can imagine it will span beyond the 50th Games insofar we will see the how the Capitol decides on the consequences for Haymitch's actions. Perhaps it can end with Haymitch's victory tour, mirroring Catching Fire*, where Plutarch and Haymitch join together for the first time. Haymitch is definitely the first, the one that got Plutarch inspired. The forcefield seems like an intentional weapon re-used once more, but re-used to go full circle, from start (sunrise) to finish (fire). *I see a double meaning in his quote of "it starts at midnight", as this not only signifies the arena, but Effie drags Haymitch from the mansion around midnight, i.e. perhaps the rebels had/were supposed to have a meeting at midnight.

Theory: it is from plutarchs perspective. He is against the games, but that is not known by others. The "sunrise" is referring to a tribute that is picked. He sees the katniss-esque way haymitch portrays himself. He sees a rebel. Even though the revolution is not started here and they had to wait for katniss, he hopes that haymitch will win and it will change things. But if thats not it, i am sure that the sunrise is not litteral but referring to a person or maybe an event

Plutarch will be Haymitches mentor? And they’ll create a bond to destroy the games and over throw snow no matter how long it takes.
