After 6 long years the ute finally roars back to life in a pivotable moment for the whole build. Also so centre consol installation and update on the WB tail light bucket 3d prints.
Bloody awesome hearing this thing run! Just keep in mind on the aeroflow shifter, the lug you are going to mount the indicator on is used for the cable to the trans. So probably wont work, just picked up one of the shifters myself, nice bitta kit they are.
Your mates Dubyah Bee is a very sweet Streeter. I can appreciate what has gone into that drivetrain with the COME Racing Heads (they ain't cheap) and the rest of the engine components & running gear. Also, to take the time to instal AC so that it would be a pleasure to drive in any weather takes a lot of extra effort. Not to mention having to get the whole car roadworthy and registered. Well done him! Your car is looking (& sounding) the goods too. I love the wheels with the grey paint. Vey nice 👌
Good work Barnsey, that motor sounds very nice. The good old 308 certainly had plenty up its sleeve, a testament to the Aussie engineers who developed it all those years ago. I will be in line for a set of those buckets, along with everyone else, when you get going on them. Jeff
I've been following this for years, gee how time flies, doing well Barnesy, the lil tacker looks happy, great you have a friend to help out and get you motivated, utes coming along nice and sounds great, please do some research before putting the whole front end together they can be tricky, good luck mate, keep us updated, Cheers.
First thing I’ll say you look like Tom Cruise in the top gun movies twin … anyway cool video brings back memories of dads 74 HQ statesman deville was a mint car when I was kid I remember the only thing he didn’t like about his car never lift the bonnet in the rain as all the water 💦 went straight into the dizzy stuck on the side of road for awhile luckily he had WD 40 in the boot
awesome mate. your getting close. I fitted the rare spares console to my hj tonner recently. take into consideration the carpet thickness before you weld the brackets to the floor mate. just a thought. can't wait to see your beast finished ive been following your build for the last couple of years
Tis looking great. Terrific job on those tail lights. I am interested to see how shiny you can get the silver backing. My WB headlights were printed silver by the previous owner. They were great if you didn't need it to light up the road 😮
Thanks mate, Apparently the paint is quite forgiving so hoping she will smooth the surface out a little, I think it will be fine to provide the same reflection as the originals.
