In this episode, Sherri welcomes Sarah Hart-Unger of Best Laid Plans to the show. Sarah is the host of the Best Laid Plans podcast and the co-host of the Best of Both Worlds Podcast. Sarah is a mother of 3, a physician, and an avid runner. But today she joins the podcast to share tips and ideas about one of her other passions, planning. Sarah's podcast is focused on helping people plan and get organized to live a more manageable and enjoyable life. Sarah shares some great ideas on how quilters and other hobbyists can free up more time to do the things they love. Prior to today's interview, Sherri shares her own recent organizational accomplishment as she tells how she completely reorganized all of her quilts from the past 18 fabric lines.

Love love love planning! I've always been a 'gotta write that down' person. Since Chelsi spoke about her TOP 3, I have adopted that practice and it feels so good to actually accomplish things. Can't wait to listen to Sarah's podcasts. Thank you so much for sharing and for keeping me/us inspired.

Great Podcast! Thanks for interviewing Sarah Hart Unger. I look forward to subscribing to her newsletter. I have always used a daily planer or a daily list for tasks to complete, but there is always room to learn. I liked how Sarah pointed out to the importance of controlling your inputs because it is so easy to get distracted and lose focus. I am so happy that Bountiful is on its way!

This is a fun interview! I love to plan and track. My husband likes to tease me about how much time I spend tracking, and while I might be able to get more done if I used that time for something else, I do enjoy tracking and find it motivating to look back from time to time.

4 or 5 years ago I purchased a composition book and began journaling my quilting. Have now filled that and am on my 2nd one. Was amazed last December when I went through it and actually listed all the quilts, large and small, I made in 2022.

I came across a picture of the Cottage Charm quilt in Harvest Road fabric a year or more ago and it appealed to me so much. I hunted down the pattern and purchased your book, but of course Harvest Road fabric is no longer available. I really like the combination of the specific fabric and pattern together. Any suggestions for a similar fabric collection or something that would give a similar vibe? Thanks for any ideas out there! ❤

I would love to have a pattern to make a cover for a planner. Varied sizes or a chart to use for different size planners would be helpful as well.

I love the Bountiful quilt made with your Bountiful Blooms fabric! Is a fat quarter bundle enough for the piecing(along with background)? Or would a fat eighth bundle work? Thanks for your help!

Good Morning. Sherri I Love the Bountiful Quilt on the wall. I have the free pattern. But I was wondering if you could make available the Bountiful Blooms Fabric conversions on the Blog where we could print it off? Please. I Love all that each of you bring to the Podcast. Here's a little funny. Sherri, Chelsi and Billy, every time I turn on the Podcast or anything A Quilting Life, the theme music starts. And.. wherever my KittyKat is, comes running and I then instead of writing notes down, I then have a Fur Face in my lap. So I Love You Guys and so does my KittyKat.
