I am a 500 million year old trilobite from the Cambrian Era. And I really dig this album though I can only "hear" by feeling vibrations and I do not have a higher brain or any sort of similar organ that can process the idea of music.
As an oceanographer, i can attest that it does in fact sound like an underwater donkey Kong level in the middle of the ocean .. but only in the deepest parts of the ocean where most people never go... You can't hear it from the beach....
Speaking as a barnacle I can say everyone in my cluster, myself included, can sense this as a faint hum. I know it's tough to tell when we barnacles get excited but this really is the album we've been waiting and clinging for.
This album made my remember the ordovician, long ago when we arthropods ruled the sallow waters. Life was simple, there were no jaws and no green on dry land, just crinoids dancing in the waves and little feet scurrying around in the sand...wonderfull times
This is the type of music that I need more in my life. No words, just the instruments. My brain is cluttered with words that I don't want to hear right now.
I'm genuinely shocked that this isn't some obscure Japanese new age record you picked up from a remote secondhand shop or something. You absolutely nailed the style, and I never would have been able to tell if not for the video description.
@@chypho Really!? That's great news! Thank you for making such atmospheric, other-worldly music. The lo-fi and synthwave crowd-pleasers might breed more likes and subs, but I am (and apparently quite a few others of us are) here for this!
amazing album!! i love the ocean, this makes me feel like i'm weightless under the sea, drifting with the surge of the current. i like to call this genre of music "little guy music" because it's what i like to imagine all those little creatures are listening to while they do their thing. thanks for this beautiful music and keep up the good work!!
Hi, this is wonderful, congratulations. It has a very delicate sense of breathing, very subtle spatialization and a charming use of echoes, I love it. This is absolutely the type of stuff I need these days, and it's so inspiring, thank you. Cheers from France.
This helps me stay calm in my customer service job and gives me some comfort while in this depressive episode. I'm autistic with a special interest in natural sciences. The sound scape is super delicious and calm. Keep up the great work!
I feel like I’m sitting on the floor of a coral reef, looking up at the sun rays breaking through the ocean. I feel like there is nothing but me and the sea
As a person who is obsessed with all this deep-sea, marine biology and submarine related things this album feels like a dream come true, such a experience. I love it 🥰
one time i had a fever and took a legitimately sweltering bath and when i put my head under the water this is sorta what i heard. i mean not really, but in my warped fever dream memory of it this is the music i put to it. very cool the way water and sound work together!!! would love to actually hear this projected from underwater. but out of water it is also amazing! huge fan!!
Damn, going through your channel is like going from masterpiece to masterpiece ! Thank you for this beautiful album, made me feel like I was on an aquatic journey.
absolutely gorgeous. listen to this whenever I need to feel at peace. hymn of the dodecapods is my favorite. feels like little benthic buddies singing me to calm
Wow this is fantastic, I’m going through a very horrible time in my life but closing my eyes and zoning out for an hour to this album is almost therapeutic.
Seriously though, this is freaking awesome and i find new sleep music. Thank you so much. I've been listening to aquatic ambience so much that I'm starting to feel like a video game character. This one is a little more natural.. it'll go great with the rest
Wow. When the drums came in on track 2 straight blew me away. Caught me by surprise….just the synths alone was amazing but then the percussion hit wow…..this is deep.
14 minutes in can say this is beautiful was sitting in my watch later for a bit popped it open tonight thought id give it a listen have to say blew expectations out of the water. also that 1+hour length! love this record using it to focus on school! make more
This is lovely! It's like diving down there and seeing the sunlight filter through the water as you look at all the cool things, never bothering with the surface until you absolutely have to 🐙🐚🐟
My favourite thing is swimming in warm sea and becoming one with water. I was writing about this feeling in my poems and tried to express it through some sounds I make and record. Yesterday this popped up in my RU-vid recommendations. This is pure poetry of water and healing, which instruments are you using?
woahhhh--there's a reason i was always enchanted by the ocean section in fantasia, and you've captured that magical feeling in your work here. The Towering Kelp is my fav so far :D
as someone who's taking a course right now in oceanography for college, this is absolutely beautiful and perfect for when I need to focus on and get my assignments done! gorgeous soundscape and the album artwork is stunning, I'm so happy I've come across this and I will definitely be saving this on spotify for the future! :D
I'm in love with that album 💕 I'm working on a very tiny strategy roguelike with an underwater aesthetic elements, and I keep listening to this on loop. Also sent it straight to the sound designer's audio board for inspiration ✨✨ Thank you 💖
I found myself googling the titles of the tracks one by one, and it was completely fascinating how accurate they felt. After listening to Entomongaku II, which is very rythmic and wholesome, this is refreshing and therapeutic (and a little intimidating as well). Nine North and The Towering Kelp are probably the most intriguing for me, but each track has a magical "something" to it. Thank you so much for inspiring me, once again.
This album is incredible! It invokes a sense of awe, wonder, and sometimes even fear, just like the ocean! I've been listening to it while I study evolution and taxonomy and it sets the tone wonderfully. Thank you!
Great album! I love the whole feel of the music... Ambient currents that propel my imagination. Love the album art too. Reminds of beautiful illustrations in old science books from the 60s.
Collision of Hiroshi Yoshimura with Edgar Froese and Klaus Shulze.. Brilliant. This is an excellent album. Goes to my favourites and already saved locally. Symbolically shaking your hand, hats off, bravo.
@@chypho Their album Compressed Light is one of my favorites. Though Episodes in Oceanography is way more chill. But when you into jazzy mode, it's very much like that record. A good thing! Will be tracking this down and buying it when I wake up. Thanks for making it!
At first I thought its a set collection. But then from comments I understood... Dude ! Very good! As i diver i admire. Waiting for part two. Make it daaarker please like at depths where no lights get. You had this kind in this still want moooree
This album truly makes me happy. I am aspiring to be a marine biologist and have always loved deep sea creatures, this captures the feel of the ocean perfectly. Thank you for this, it's such a specific type of sound that reminds me of the deep blue that I can't get anywhere else. :]
I'm so lucky and happy to have found this playlist. What a beautiful body of work. I have hearted it and saved it on Deezer. This is very creative and original.
@@chypho I knew it because I read the comments haha. Thank you for being on Deezer. I wish you could work with Lana Del Rey. This is my dream. Can you make it true ?^^
This reminds me of an old documentary me and my brothers used to watch. Something about the music from that was so incredibly enchanting, and this has the same gravity. It clearly had an effect as now, 12 years later, I'm becoming a marine biologist!
Absolutely nailed on the atmosphere of the whole album. It makes me feel like I'm inside an Ecco the dolphin level, it's nostalgic and perfect for listening while working. One of the best ambience sounds I've ever listened to, just incredible and I'd definitely buy a vinyl
This is so insane. This is so good. The incredible title made me click, I'm listening to it as I'm reading Pynchon's Mason and Dixon (it does not go with the book but nothing does!!) and I'm just... floored by this. Thank you!
OK I have no idea how this got into my recommendations, but I'm thankful it did Imagine listening to this while scuba diving through the oceans of every geological era from the precambrian to nowadays Such an insane experience Thank you 🌊
reminds me of ween's The Mollusk, minecraft music, and the soundtrack to that one really cool bojack horseman episode where he's underwater. sick as hell
I have to be honest here. I downloaded this on YT maybe a month and finally got around to listening to it. It looked really interesting when I downloaded it god damn I’m so glad I did. I haven’t heard an album this good in a long time by an artist that I’ve never heard of before. I really enjoyed it. I’ve shared it to a couple of friends, followed you on bandcamp, and bought a copy of this on iTunes. You did a really really great job on this piece and encapsulating the soundscape that you were aiming for. This album is very calm and I really love it. I’ll definitely be checking out your other work. Thank you for uploading this and being an artist. 5/5 💙👏🏻
