Sweet & short, thanks a lot. I am making a small diorama with a tiny lava stream (putting led filament at the bottom) and I was looking for some tips. Most videos I found about this are not under 25 minutes, while containing only half of useful info, so this is much appreciated.
Thank you! I only use Superclear. For these kind of projects I use the table top version. Kind of a medium density and flow vs others. Also the least yellowing of all for certain projects without pigments.
Bonjour, vous avez fait une très belle réalisation cependant j'ai une question sur le mélange avec le colorant Galéria acrylic. Quelle résine utilisez-vous pour réussir à le mélanger? Merci pour votre retour😊
This is really well done. I would like to learn what you used to create the black hardened lava surface. That part is unclear in this video. Well done though. Thank you.
I agree… this looked brilliant!! I think you could possibly also make it out of polystyrene foam, albeit a bit messy while you’re carving it, unless you use a hot wire/knife. Much love from Brisbane, Australia. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Just tried to do exactly this - turned out shit… even though the colours where good in its on cup, when pouring them they turned out all bland and sort of milky. Poured the yellow into the orange (or more of a brown colour…), but it just sank… I used watered down acrylic pain in the bio based gedeo epoxy. What did I do wrong?
Sorry to hear it! Probably was the water in the paint. That or cold have been the epoxy or paint that wasn’t right. I just use a small dab of a thick acrylic paint. I believe that one was Windsor and Newton. I only use @superclearepoxy table top version epoxy. It’s all about experimenting though. I still do the same. The main thing I learned even though I like to go big first typically, is to do small tests to save material. Just to make sure! It’s like anything else, it doesn’t always go smoothly. Good luck though. Let me know how it turns out.
@@bpresinandsteel7212 I believe it’s recommended under 6% of any pigment to be added, but I could be wrong. Check with the manufacturer of whatever brand your using. Just make sure the paint hasn’t been mixed with water. Have fun!
