When you said you’re making it for your daughter, since this is my first time watching you, I thought you’re gonna give it as a gift for a grown up daughter. I wasn’t prepared for the amount of cuteness at the end of the video 😍
Off the charts cuteness and so so sweet! Thank you for sharing this adorable family moment with us. Now for the table top. You have given me the “permission” to try one of these projects myself. You’ve shown mistakes and your corrections which we don’t see enough of on RU-vid epoxy demos. Thank you for that. An excellent job. Now a subscriber.
I love how you managed to cover up your mistakes, the end result looks really awesome! However I suggest that you seal the underside as well to prevent cracking or warping, else the wood will absorbe moisture from the underside and not from the top and this will ruin your protect. A simple clear coat will do the job.
I was just getting ready to comment the same thing, it always VERY IMPORTANT to seal all of the wood on any project, or else it will eventually split, crack or check.
Same thing happened to me on a wooden fence project. I sprayed only one side of the pickets with a combo stain/sealant, because I thought I'd let my stingy neighbor pay to have his own side treated. He never did, and after a few soaking rains, the pickets warped. The pickets, where I treated both sides, are still in excellent condition, after 15+ years!
I love this video! Love how you showed your mistakes and how you reversed the errors . Thanks for taking us through the entire process. The table turned out GREAT!
That table came out aaaaaaaaaamazing and the fact that you made mistakes made me feel like I can do it too! Thanks for showing that mistakes can be made and things can still turn out beautiful...........just like life! Your table represents life! Your daughter................OOOOOOOMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG🥰
OMG this is gorgeous. I love when freestyling mistakes turn into beautiful works of art. I think it's a true sign that God is within us just pouring out through our natural expression.
I work with resin all the time and I think you did a nice job and saved your project! It's a beautiful table and your daughter is the most adorable little girl I've ever seen in my lifetime! She needs to be in the movies!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT!!! I'm interested in starting DIY epoxy myself and I love your honesty in showing all the "mistakes" you made so that other can learn. This is such a beautiful table.
I'm certain that the end of the video and seeing your little apprentice happy with her table makes any hiccups along the way more than worth it. God bless you and your family. Thanks for sharing your work 👍🏾
Young man, thanks for sharing this with the world! I have never tried and epoxy table yet and watching you has provided me with the incentive to try one! Yours looks amazing!
I love how you show your mistakes. So many diy videos discourage me because there appear to be no mishaps and when I try it by myself I don't understand why it is not as easy as the video! Thank you again!
Working with resin isn't difficult, but start of with something small like a set of coasters and get the hang of it and you;; learn what tools you need the most and you get to mess with colors and stuff too. It's a blast!
Wow, that table looks great! Just a suggestion, I would seal the bottom. Just pop off the legs, and apply a solid coat of a good waterproof sealant, even a thin clear coat of epoxy. With the top sealed, any moisture that gets into the wood from the bottom (just natural humidity changes) will cause the table to warp, which would be a real shame after all your work!
Your daughter is absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm sure someone else has probably said this already, but if you mask off the bottom edge, you can peel it right off after the cure. Saves a lot of sanding. Beautiful project!
I didn`t intend to use this woodworking book, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but instead curious about it. I had been truly amazed after trying it. It never dissatisfied me in my desire to have more information about the art of wood working. I discovered several topics such as wood types as well as designing your workshop..
Great work! One thing I’d note (not saying you don’t know this but Incase your subscribers don’t - as a general rule when making tables (with multiple pieces of wood) it’s important that all sides be finished. Just putting epoxy on the top can cause furniture to rip apart. It’s important for wood to accept moisture / temp the same way all the way around. Although you’d probably never have an issue like that with this table just something that’s worth mentioning if it ever comes up. You are a solid builder and I absolutely love your content. It’s sweet and I’ve gotten TONS of ideas from you. I dig just about EVERYTHING you do lol.
Kay Swick at the cost I wouldn’t do that... I’d do a coat or two of poly on the underside... probably before the pour as I wouldn’t want something that nice sitting on its face while I worked...
Awesome project it will look good and to the pull out couch you inspired me to build and almost every project I make feels like it isn't going to be like I expected especially when I try new techniques! and low and behold! Keep posting your videos are great!!
Great video showing real project problem solving. Really liked see the table in service in the playtime scenes at the end. Well done! Thanks for sharing.
I suspect that at some future point, you'll regret not sealing the underside of the table. My father made a small plaque from solid wood and clear-coated the front, but left the back unfinished. It warped like a Pringles potato chip after a few years. It's a great looking table though and I like it.
I started painting in 1986 and was taught "what you do to one side of the wood, you do to the other" - meaning it must be sealed. We are cabinet makers and "wood is alive even if it's dead!".
I think you did a beautiful job on this table. Your adorable daughter is a lucky little girl! You can't help but smile when you see her delight! Great job Dad!
Wow!. Super awesome. I like that. And you were worried that it was going to come out. Me on the other hand I probably would of gotten stuck to the table. Really sharp. Cheers.
Totally awesome, I think it came out great. I like the basic wire rod legs. Yes you just want to have that cool top the focus of people's attention. I give it 10 stars out of 10.
Omg!! It look good AF! I’m ready to do this now! Lol! No, seriously.. like film this now lol! And not to mention your daughter is beautiful! 💕 Thanks for the video!
A few things: great table. if you had primed the table with white before hand you would not have had to spry paint after. And the drips you can save yourself from having to saw and sant , if you tap the underside of the table. then you just have to take the tejp off when the epoxy have stopped running. but as i said great table...
Tape would work well on a table with a sharp angle, but not so much with a rounded edge. You could always tape the very underside near the edge for a clean break, though, you would still have to sand a bit and apply a clear coat afterwards as he did. You had a good idea in priming the surface first.
@@sapphireblue222 Yea some afterwork but i have seen people that manage to tape good enough and take off all the drips. the tape i have used so far does work all that well it rips and isn't really strong enough to take all the drips with it.
Wow....Just Beautiful !!!....Great Job !! How Precious is she...Thanks for the video. I'm pretty sure I'm going to attempt this since you made it look so easy. I can hardly wait to do this for me..Thanks again
Sooooooooooo your video was the only one I saw using the pvc pipe and I loveee that method so for my first project I am going to try this technique!!! Thanks for this post because it makes it simple and not overly complicated.
Hello. Boy that pouring the colors into that pipe & spreading it was quite scary moment. It sure turned out amazing looking table. I've always wanted to do a project with the epoxy stuff. Nice Job 👍😀. I would like to know how well the surface will stay so great looking after some use. Thanks
For not having a particular plan in mind, this came out beautifully! It looks like marble. One thing I've seen others do when pouring resin on a tabletop is to take a piece wood, and scrape along the underside edges to catch the dripping epoxy. Your daughter is so darling! It looks like she likes her table.
Great job, that pvc what a killer idea. So slick. I like that you pointed out your mistakes and then showed what you did to fix it. We all make mistakes. Your little one is adorable. Her dimples are to die for. 😍
I love this. It turned out really cool. To me you are the first person who made epoxy work look simple and understandable for a non-skilled crafter like me. Thank you!
Love this, I'm starting resin projects, alongside making jewellery and other crafts... Love this table, my current project is upcycling old dining table to make a table for me to craft away on... Your wee girl is beautiful 😍
At the end you can see how much she enjoyed and appreciated how smooth that finish is. Awesome job and kudos for trying something bold and taking a chance.
What a great project ....turned out awesome ...thanks for sharing! Getting your bundle of joy to play on the final result is a heart warming way to show how resilient it is.
Excellent rebound, Sir! You were in the paint (epoxy), fought hard, got the rebound, took a full-court shot at the basket (table), and made the game-winner at the buzzer .... It's Miller Time!
I just want to thank you for your woodwork arranges [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* I have attempted a few different arrangements and most times I get lost on what to do. This is the least demanding and most basic arranges ever.?
