The EPRI Smart Grid Demonstration project was a seven year international collaborative research program studying many different aspects of modernized grid technologies.
Nice animation. Why do you need to create a whole range of new jargon when it already pre-exists to cover most of the concepts you are presenting? For example isn't a VEN already known as a HAN? 'Top node' or 'head area device'? FAN where there is a WAN? And so on. My suggestion is stick to the principles of standardisation of semantics and avoid bloating the domain with jargon creep.
