Tell me your thoughts on this The thing with EPR's songs is that they lack layers. His usual lyrics is equivalent to Krsna's third layer lyrics. For Eg. Let's take a Krsna's simple line, "21 topon ki salami, I go ham on the track" *1st layer* which most audience would understand: "Going ham" is a slang which he has used. *2nd layer* : Ham and Salami both are type of meats. Wordplay. *3rd layer* : "Ham" stands for "Hamilton" who is an F1 racer. So "Ham on the track". Reference. People can listen to the song with knowing however deep they want to know, and they can still understand the meaning. But EPR's lyrics have 1-2 layers which requires knowledge equivalent to Krsna's 3rd layer and even more. I think this is one of the reasons for less views. But anyway EPR is one of the most talented lyricist in DHH, and hopefully will find his deserved recognition soon.✌️

@@piyushpranav7072 I agree with what you said, EPR is surely more complex than any other artist of DHH. But his all songs aren't complex like Q (not even it's 20% ig). He got many normal yet classic songs like Raastamahn, Naaz Hai, Abki Baar Kaun, Ekla Chalo Re, Haar Kadam Pe, Bella Ciao remix and the list goes on. The problem is with audience that they aren't interested in this things (which is sad). People overlook his art, that's why he's underrated.

It's like if you listen to Kr$na's song for the first time you will overlook his writing but when you listen them over and over again you'll start catching his bars slowly and steadily and you wouldn't even notice that there was something hidden before. But that's not the case with EPR, if you give a first listen to his song you'll know that he said something complex when he does but you're not smart enough to understand that, then we hit up google and then and there we partly understand the bar, this thing eliminates the wow factor you receive after constantly listening and understanding the lyrics on our own.

Lyrics which don't hit straight at your heart, or in other words which don't touch your soul can never become legendary. Howsoever complex they may be. The greatness of an artist is determined by how they touch their listeners emotions, how they bind them to their art. In Desi hip hop, I have found Talha Anjum to have mastered that very art. He doesn't need flamboyant lyrics to show his worth.

EPR is one of those artists that people remember years after that artist dies, I think EPR himself is not aiming for short term momentary gains such as getting millions of views on songs and stuff like that rather he is focused on raising his voice on things that actually matter. He represents Hip-Hop to its core, and by doing this he is creating a legacy that is much greater than him or any other rapper. As EPR said in his song Agneepath "Kya hum itne andhe our heroes need a silver screen"

Well not everyone still likes simple love songs lol. This chhapri guys just want more tattis like king lol. There should be some unique artists whose art is less known bt very unique. Ever have u read western poetry about love etc even in bengali there is shankha ghosh jibonanondo das etc. Teacher used to take 2-3 classes to make us understand those poems. Rap is also a form of poetry. There also will be some just simple ones and some complex ones. This ones only for highly fascinated people like me in poetry . I don't need to listen to some song which another artist has breaking down the lyrics of, krsna's lyrics are complicated but me personally understands it with giving it a listen after few times. But artists like epr, with no offense sounds like some ancient poet to me.

I think Talha Anjum is just an Genius, You talk about KR$NA a person with amazing lyricism, King with lovely relatable songs, Seedhe maut with their Mind blowing flows But Anjum has all of this! Songs like 100 Bars, Gumaan, Darja Hararat he shows all of the things mentioned above. Apart from that he's all verses in Khanabadosh are legendary!! Talha Anjum is one of the Best in the game if not the Best
