These dudes have it made. The types of lighting available today is astounding. It is a hundred times brighter and lasts a thousand times longer than the crap we had in the seventies. What we had were puny single tungsten bulb flashlights that were powered by single use D-cell batteries. I had a nice 6 volt handheld lantern type flashlight but had to set the case on fire and use the molten plastic to patch a hole in our boat that had split open way back in Snail Shell Cave. If we lost the boat there would have been no way out except swim, which was a death sentence with no light and 56f degree water, that had already claimed several young men before us. Our crappy flashlights might be able to produce an hours worth of light before they went dead, and the bulbs were always failing from the flashlight being bumped on rocks etc. The cheapest LED flashlight on the market today is a hundred time better than anything we had. We had once thought about taking 2 big 12 volt auto batteries, setting them at the entrance of a cave and then use a mile long set of thin gauge wires and connect them to an auto headlamp. But we ruled that out because the wire would have to be too thick and heavy to power a auto headlight a mile away. Then there was wire tangle and breaking problems to consider so the idea was scrapped pretty quickly. The first time we got our hands on a carbide miners lamp we thought we had reached the pinnacle of mobile lighting technology. Until then we had never had anything in a cave that was as bright. And now the video cameras today in nearly everyone's front pocket. We would have done anything to have even a cell phone video camera. We would have done anything to have a cell phone. We got our hands on an 8mm home movie camera once and filmed me and my buddies on a camping trip at Fall's Creek Falls back in the early seventies. The friend that got the camera, from his parents, lost the tape which turned out to be the only video ever taken of me and all my friends back then. I do almost anything to find that old tape.

Another great video thanx lads! The body had me scared for a minute, can't believe how vast that complex is. Think I'd be concerned I'd lost my way and could not find the way out. I used to work for the duplicator company Gestetner, that had a vast air raid shelter, also near there was a furniture company called Lebus, that had a complex of underground tunnels, all that sadly gone now and built over. Keep up the good work! X

I had a similar scare when exploring an abandoned hospital with my mate. There was training dummy on the floor and at a distance it shits you up.

Have you found any of the old stuff around Fort Halstead yet? They made Britain's first nuke there and it was sent to Australia from Chatham on board of a frigate called HMS Plym.

Blood is not red, especially when dry...the Iron rust and it turns to brown, dark color.

A couple of nights ago I had a nightmare : I was in a tunnel like this and all the batteries of the torches went down. But it was not me who was in the tunnel , it was IKS guys.

4:53 are those white balls airsoft BBs? if so they are loads of them wtf ...

anyone that explores dark tunnels if you see bright red its paint if you see blackish red its blood because the cells inside the blood have died and made it look black but i don't know if that only happens with a lot of blood or just a little blood not to mention you would prob smell the decay/rotting before you see "it" if you do find one that's not a animal you shouldn't touch it and possibly destroy evidence but you should leave and call the police and bring them to where you found it because they really don't want to walk down a creepy maze of tunnels to find it also it wouldn't make it look like you killed someone and ran away. i haven't explored tunnels but if i did that's what i would do.

So where are the junky's & wino's that are so typical to these areas now?
