Epson EcoTank Review, EcoTank 4760 Review and Setup, Best Printer For Junk Journaling, ET 4760 

I have had the ET4760 for a year and half and LOVE it!!! I don't find that it takes very long at all for the pages to print and the quality is the best I've ever had. I have not had any bad out comes - have printed on rice aper, vellum, 110lb card stock, tracing paper, 24lb copy paper that has been coffee dyed. It all works well.

Thanks for the review. I am a junk journal maker and have an Eco Tank printer - the 2760 so that one has the paper feed in the back and not a tray like the 4760. Mine is "sensitive" to the kinds of paper I put in the paper feeder.....i.e., it doesn't like my coffee dyed papers...urg but loves everything else. I think your prints are great and I'm assuming that you didn't adjust your printer settings and just used default...that's awesome. I had to adjust my settings after a while. You can adjust the speed at which the printer prints and that really has to do more with how much saturation and dry time you choose in your settings. But again, I don't care if it prints slower if my results are clean and clear. I know your still in the honeymoon phase of this printer but.......you will find as we all do in the junk journal world while ink is very inexpensive you will use a lot of yellow just because we like that antique look in our prints. I wish Epson would allow us to purchase the colors separately since "we" do consume a lot of yellow ink...but alas...not yet anyways....so now I have a stock pile of magenta and cyan...lol. What you will also notice, again because us junk journal makers are always printing....after about every 20/30 prints you will have to clean print heads or you will have lines going through your pretty prints. About every 500 prints I do the deep clean [its in the settings under maintenance]. What Epson has not mentioned in any sales media or even informed sales people is that you will need to purchase a "maintenance kit" eventually. Because we clean the print heads so often that waste goes into a maintenance "box" that needs to be changed out. This kit can only be ordered through Epson's website [my local Staples had no idea what it was therefore did not carry it] Luckily it was only $20. But if you watch Andrea at Artymaze you will no doubt know the troubles she had this past year - not initially knowing about the maintenance kit and what she had to go through to fix her printer issues. I've had my printer for 2 years now and have purchased the maintenance kit so I am prepared for that eventual shut down. I'm not here to bash the printer.....to the contrary...I love my Eco Tank....and those of us who've had ours for a couple years now have hopefully worked out all the kinks that we as junk journal makers have encountered. The printer is awesome and so much more economical for what we do. I'm sure the printer performance is even better for someone who doesn't put their printer through it's paces like we do in the junk journal world.

I love mine, I get my ink on Amazon and get all 4 bottles for 20.00. Also I have had mine since August of last year and I have printed over 8000 sheets and only filled my tanks 2 times. Love love love this printer. I have the 4700 series!

I just got the Epson ET-4850 and it’s amazing! I had to buy the more expensive version for faxing, double sided printing and a top loading scanner… but it’s perfect for my needs and I’ve already printed like 1,000 pages and the ink is exactly where it was on day 1. It’s nuts! I have painter tape on the level to see if it moves and nothing so far.

I bought myself the 4770 which prints photos as well as I am a scrapbooker. I recently discovered Junk Journalling and I’ve printed up so many digital journal kits as well as tonnes of photos. Im so happy with my Epson! Thank you for your review , it confirms how excellent this printer is. I’ve hardly used up any inks even after all the printing I’ve done

I have this printer and love it. I was able to get all 4 refills in a pack, at Costco, for $49.99. I’ve used very little ink and have printed over 1,400 color prints. (Actually bought 6 of your digi kits tonight and have been printing…..then hopped on RU-vid and found this video.) I wish I had bought this printer LONG AGO…I love it.

Thank you so much for sharing. I have had my EcoTank 4760 since December 2020. I love it! I have no regrets whatsoever in purchasing this printer. I am not even close to running out of ink. The only thing I found was about a month ago my printer would only print occasionally. I researched what the problem could be and once I downloaded the new update it works like a charm again. I agree 10/10!!

I have an ecotank 3710 and love it. The Epson matte photo paper is awesome, as is the presentation paper. I think good quality paper makes for a very professional look.

I agree 100% with your Epson Eco tank review, it is amazing! It says the cartridges last 2 years, printing 50,000 copies. Bonus, like you said is excellent print quality, and replacement cartridges

I love this machine! This is the one I own and I have had it for about a year and a half. My husband bought it for me for a Christmas gift. I printed on it for about a year with heavy usage before I had to add any ink. I bought my ink at Wal-Mart fro about $50.00 for the set. I added ink but none of the colors were empty so I only had to use half a bottle of each. I still have enough left to fill them up again. This thing is amazing. I am new to crafting and I love digitals but I am having to learn to resize and I go through a lot of paper and ink. This has saved me so much money. It does cost more then some printers but the money you save in the long run is worth it. I have only used 110 lb paper once in it and it did take it but I really don't like to put that heavy of paper in it. I do use 65 lb Michaels cardstock in it a lot for tags and such with no problem. The Epson matte presentation paper makes a beautiful print as well as the Red River. To me no matter what printer you use the better the paper the more beautiful the print. If you check on the Epson website sometimes they have good sales.

Hi! Did you change your settings for the cardstock??? As a teacher, love love love my 4760. I was spending so much on ink and printing before with my epson workforce. Still have lots of ink, a year and 1/2 later! 😀

My husband bought me one and I absolutely LOVE it. I bought the “hippo” ink on Amazon for 22.00. Always buy extra bottles of yellow!

Quick question. I love this printer but at $500 is it really worth the price. I can’t make myself justify this cost when I’m crafting but not selling my things as I gift them to family or just use the myself. Have you tried the middle range of these printers at all? Is the quality comparable. I know I’m asking for your advice but honestly my Epson which I loved is in need of a new printer head and the ink cost is getting to be too much. Love the idea of eco tank printers.

I just bought the et2760 and it's the most difficult printer I've ever used. it keeps telling me I have the wrong paper. very disappointed in the quality of the color prints. they look faded and grainy. the epson iPrint app is very limited and doesn't allow me the versatility I need for junk journal pages. any ideas or help you can offer?

I have a eco tank 2730 and only had it since 2019 and refilled it about eight or nine times and it already is telling me I need a new ink pad plus it always has lines on it so I'm not very happy with mine. Yours is a tad bit different then mine thou.

Why does this printer keep going off line? Should my WiFi Band be set to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?

I was looking this up on Amazon and I was surprised at how inexpensive the bottles of the inks were. I was curious as to how many times you can fill the cartridges before you need to buy more ink. The printer is a little more than I would want to spend but if I ever have to replace my current printer, this might be a good alternative. Thanks for the info.

Have you printed on photo printing paper?

Thank you, this is just what I needed before I purchase one. The one question I have, is it compatible with all software ie Microsoft Publisher and all other Graphic S/W etc etc. I have always had HP's and when my last one died, I bought a cheaper to get me through a project, but it isn't compatible with Publisher, it's a nightmare. I have sent a message to Epson asking the question, but they probably say yes anyway :-)

May I ask how this printer is working now that you have had it for awhile. I have an Epson Work Force & absolutely hate it! I print 1 journal & I have to replace two color cartridges. I am apprehensive to go with another epson. Anything that you can share would be fantastic! Does it accept heavy card stock & does it have a rear feed?

I've been trying for hours to print some photos on heavy weight glossy photo paper and it just will not feed through this printer. Very frustrating. Any tips? I see you are doing it but what's your advice?

When you say it takes awhile to print, how long is that? It says it prints 8 pages per minutes in color.
