Hi, great videos! One thing I do recommend is to NEVER use cheap dtf inks, they will clog the lines quick. Always spend a little more and get a better ink to not have clogging problems. Print or run a cleaning 1-2 times per week. I have converted the 8550 a while ago when it launched and I have never got a clogged line, and the printer works perfectly for dtf. But it always depends on what you put in. Keep up the good videos and remember, it's not the printer it's the ink. Dealing with dtf ink is not the same as sublimation or regular ink, it's alot of maintenance and you can't leave the printer without using for over a week. Cheers!
I'm wonder if you put cleaning Solution on spare cartridge while not using it, it may take a while to clear out the lines after you reinstall the whites but at least you won't get clogged and be able to do like a refill mode? Maybe🤔
Fidel!!! It’s good to see you. That is great advice. It’s definitely worth doing to avoid ink issues. It’s easier to flush cleaning solution than it is to unclog the white ink.
Do you have your e-print set up? You can schedule emails to send your printer to print even when you do not have a print to do to keep it from clogging.
I set it up about 2 weeks ago when I was suppose to go out and town and didn’t even think about it last week. Thanks for the reminder! I will be using it this week.

I think I'm gonna stick with the DTF hack and sub ink. There is just too much going wrong and maintenance with this DTF conversion hack for me and the money the 8550 costs.
Do you have a video on how to unclog white if clogged. I can not get my printer to print white ink. I have emptied both of my white nozzles and put more white in and did the three minutes cleanings a few times. Or do I need to just keep printing?

I use brown or tan construction paper. But I have a problem with streaking. And I have changed the board for it to come out straighter but it still not working. Can u help
how did you get the setting to just print white on the image and not a white box around it, ive tried taking the white around the image and make it transparent.
@@CraftableThings With dtf ink, without white ink the print will fade away really easily after a few washes. Adhesive powder only really sticks to white ink, give it a few washes and let me know. But from personal experience even on a white shirt the white ink is needed to prevent the print from fading after just a few washes with DTF. It may look like it works but a couple washes will make the print crack and fade off.
Hi great video I know u have the real dtf but for us doing the dtf hack lol I was wondering what if I sprinkle some white flower powered then the dtf powered n heat it to cure it lol do u think it would work like the white flower powered lol I'm trying to figure what can we use to have that white on back of our images thank u
Hello....I need some advice....I made a REAL unthought out move with my Sub Converted 8550....I was doing a project ( blue varsity jacket)..and want thus cute colorful image on the back...so I watched all these videos on the Sublimation DTF hack ...the film wouldn't feed through I used tape copy paper...I finally got the paper to feed but then I was dealing with the roller marks...Again watching hrs of RU-vid.. I took the rollers out ...not thinking the HEY!!! yur not like some of the other crafters with multiple printers you still have to sub yur cups...well the DFT hack did work after I took the rollers out ...but now my prints for my cups are off because the paper doesn't fully come out...does anyone have any suggestions...buying another printer right now..not in the budget...I feel soooo silly
oh no.You will probably have to print on 11x17 or 13x19 to fully print your images. I've never had to replace rollers as I took them out only to convert the printer into a DTF printer.
@@sonyajulien6843 how thick is the masking tape? I've found that it works best with thicker pieces. I created a custom paper type in cadlink and that seems to work without any extra most of the time. Check out the hangry muscle's channel and see if he has any other tips.

@@netwrkops it was just certain things that were automatic in the trial that I have to now adjust in the full version. I am going to look at the software later.
you are giving me hope but I am ready to throw the towel. I just add the ink on a new printer. I feel this should not be happening. my channel 1 is not printing white at all even when i run my software at 100%
