EQ2 Origins TLE Prep - Renfail Plays a Necromancer in EverQuest 2 

quick tip, if you press the F key on your keyboard while hovering over something clickable in the world (NPC, harvest, etc), it will be the same as double-clicking or performing the default action on that thing. assuming you're using WASD for movement, it's a bit faster/more comfortable than constantly double-clicking or right-clicking+menu select. it will also auto-target at the same time, so it saves you more than a couple clicks.

Dark Elf Necro was my original character in original EQ. So weird I started watching you because I was playing eve but heard there is a new TLP server coming out so started watching eq2 videos and here you are again!

Super tempted to play EQ2s Origins server... I was much younger when EQ1 was out and although I played it I could never really do any hardcore raiding. EQ2 was the first MMO where I went all in, ended up being in a top 3 raiding guild world wide (Dissolution) and even was one of the first bruisers to hit max level in one of the expansions. I think we were one of the first to complete the original prismatic weapon quest line as well. So many good memories.

Thinking of jumping in this time around. Haven't played much EQ2. Do you know, how is the coercer compared to the EQ enchanter? That's my main class in EQ1

Im considering giving this tle a try. I have never really played eq2 but have been enjoying eq1 for the last 5 years or so.

Curious if you can still blitz into Obelisk of Lost Souls with a summoner and farm Masters. If you can get ahead of the level curve and get into the place fast enough you're looking at a couple Masters per hour solo with little to no competition.

So in LU19 they let you choose your final class at level one, which also auto granted you spells at a default quality. Good to know the TLE is after that. Didn't realize how much it trivialized the content in the starter isle, at least for damage focused classes. I'm expecting the overworld content to pack a punch like it use to.

Looking forward to the details on how to join you all once origin launches. I downloaded and resubbed over the weekend. Ran a wizard zerker and assassin through the Isle. Played a bunch of different toons over the years but I mained wizzy from launch till I quit back in DoV. I'm leaning towards assassin once origin goes live since I've never played that before. Will run wizard on beta if I get in since I feel that's the only class I can provide useful feedback on. Even though I hadn't played in ages all that wizzy knowledge seemed to come flooding back after about a half hour with it LOL.

Is the voice over in this video actually in the origins version of the game? I played EverQuest 2 back in the day, and I do not remember voiceover.

32:58 every TLE has had /claim rewards disabled (apart from the special server-specific "packs" they usually release to promote the new server), and i think Marketplace mounts will also be unavailable (we'll see for sure with the Beta).

im ready, my body is ready, been playing TLE servers since 2014/2015. quit live when CoE launched. this will be a nice fresh take

I have not played EQ nor EQ2 in years! Debating on hoping on the upcoming servers so there is a leveling population to group / guild with. I will watch your channel to see the gameplay of EQ2 and if I can play it for a while as a casual. ( max 3 hours a night ) Any suggestions? Is a cleric viable as solo / unguilded player?

you'll likely find that the necro is not what it is now. going to be okish, not great at all though. LU24 we had Warlock / Assassin doing the stuff, Summoners were uhh, not the best :D, but we will see how it feels

As someone who has never played EverQuest 2 but played EverQuest off and on ever since it came out would I be totally lost if I were to try out eq2 on the origin server? I never even watched content about the game I know absolutely nothing about it

Hey bro, I've never played EQ2 before, but am interested in participating in the new Origins TLE server coming up. I want to play a fighter who also has healing abilities (kinda like classic D&D Cleric, mace and all)... but Cleric in this game looks to be a strict caster. I was looking over classes... maybe Monk? Appreciate any feedback.
