at horse shows this should be a class. For the people who don’t know what horse abuse looks like, this is not what it looks like. It’s the exact opposite. Great way to exercise your mini pony with out chasing after him or lunging him!! now I wanna train the mini at my stable to do this. 🥺 it’s so cute!!
Imagine him riding up to save a princess like this. Or if there was an army of these charging. Or if they used these in a miniature horse race. The possibilities are endless!
@@raven7146 That's how big a pony can get, but those are on the average/bigger side. It stops being a pony if it's over 14.2 hands (58 inches) at the withers, which I'm sure you know. There's technically no "minimum height" to be considered a pony, yet a mini still looks different and is recognizable as such. So I guess I agree with you that it's a mini. Actually one could make the case that those are "miniature" Arabs since they're technically a smaller version with the proper proportions. Edit: Went back and read the captions. So these are basically ArabxWelsh and they're showcasing the ones that are more Arab-looking. There are quarter "ponies" too but I don't know if they infuse a pony breed to get them smaller or if they just select height-challenged quarter horses for breeding stock.. I think the whole "mini" thing has gotten out of hand. The original minis were supposed to have the correct horse proportions but just way smaller. Most minis I see these days aren't like that at all. Very short legs. Wondering how much Shetland was infused here and there to keep the height down, and height trumped conformation when breeding. The important thing is Emilie's original point that the guy was just having some fun and not at the expense of the animal.

@@raven7146 Pony is anything under 14hh, no matter breed name. Icelandics are technically ponies. This definitely falls under the heading of "pony", as there is no way that little fuzzball is even close to 14hh. XD
I thought he was going to sit on that little darling at first. Then I realised he was just getting pulled. That was so funny and no pony's were hurt during that video. Yesssss.
