I'm not sure why these horses are so skinny, but seriously people come on. Bet good food and a vet check is lacking. Sadly some were even pregnant....Who breeds a horse that is so emaciated? SMH I'd say this was shocking, but nothing surprises me when it comes to humans and their lack of compassion. Even jumping around on their bones... really? ouch!😢
Because the Amish often amputate the tail bone on horses that pull carriages or carts. IMO cruel, no way for the horse to swat flies. I don’t know why they can’t just braid the tails?
@@nicolaxoxo1 - that would be too much trouble to braid the tails. The Amish don’t care about their animals. They discard them at auctions when they are no longer useful to them.
It definitely takes a little getting used to. My favorite auctioneer is the one from our cattle video, he does not waste time. Don't forget to like and subscribe! And thanks for visiting our videos.
⚠️ THERE ARE TOO DAMN MANY HORSES IN THE U.S. & QUARTER HORSE INDUSTRY (& OWNERS) IS 3/4 OF THE PROBLEM. There are at LEAST 2 MILLION Quarters in US, as compared to 300k (tops!) of any other breed. STOP making more horses for 2 breeding seasons! 🚫 That isnt a total solution but its a heckuva start.
That would be the quicker $5 I’d ever spent on the first mare honest poor baby momma there should be a law about pregnant horses not being allowed to be sold to kill buyers and that 😢
Auctioneer can not necessarily DO anything about quality of people or horses. BUT... rule #1 - only one hired person (not owner) in that tiny little 'show' ring so people can see horse clearly and horse can move freely - if horse must stop after only a few steps it makes horse look crippled or difficult to handle. #2 - owner and auctioneer and help should speak clearly and slowly in order to be heard correctly, easily. #3 Owner/seller - f you bought it and let it sit and field without proper feed, vet and farrier care SHAME on you because those horses are at danger level on weight scale. IF you bought that animal to only turn it around and sell it/ flip it.... use your head - if you can not afford feed and proper pasture then don't play this game. Think!!! you buy a thin horse, turn it out and do nothing to improve said horse! So... get a new horse?! now - work to keep that horse - feed it properly - a fat, sleek, clean, healthy horse always draws so much more $ if prepaired properly. If sold by pound and only on horses looks...? who 'wins'/ " ?
First of all there are no horse processing plants in the US thanks to the stupid tree huggers. Second horse meat is very popular in Europe. And would you rather see something at least enter the food chain rather than being skin and bones and malnourished in a field. Horses all looked in good condition. Auctions are funny things to begin with. Some times they sell well and sometimes they don't.
The slaughter horses are shipped to Mexico & Canada, with no food or water from the time they are loaded on the kill Buyer’s trailer. It’s a cruel and horrible fate.
Have you ever ridden from auctions to Mexico. Who gave you that information. Most horse guys will make sure animals are humanely treated until the end. Don't make assumptions. Check your facts
