Equitation Science: Dressage - Independent Seat Wilkins 2022 Analysis by Caroline Lindsay 

In this presentation I analyse a scientific paper on an equitation topic as part of my doctoral studies focusing on rider posture, pain and performance. This paper confirms the concept of the Independent Seat observed precision horse riders. The researchers use a motorised horse movement simulator to investigate coordination variability in medium and extended trot across 2 groups - national and international dressage competitors. I add my own comments to this study throughout. The researchers are C Wilkins, J S Wheat, L Protheroe, K Nankervis and S B Draper.
