I believe the car had about 300 KM's of range on arrival at Dubai too, this is truly amazing since 1300 KM's on a single charge would theoretically put the EQXX over any ICE powered car in terms of range!
@@banny123456 You have to account for traffic, and especially in this case they passed through Dubai at what looked to be peak traffic time in the evening, plus this car is a proof of concept for range not maximum speed anyway.

I go from Riyadh to dubai occasionally, usually takes around 9.5 hours, seeing that it took 14 hours!! That’s slow, we get that slow speed consuming lower energy but nobody wants to spend 14 hours on the road while u can get there in 9 .
True - I have done road trips to dubai “3” times from Riyadh The best I did was 8 hours and 40 minutes… only 1 stop just at Ksa/uae border for a quick fuel stop This is very slow
@@t-4820 complete not… in europe I do 300km in under 3hours without speeding… just look some 1000km challenged videos… there is not really one electric car which need that long inclusive charging stops… mercedes is just proud to do their bad marketing stunts like their fake level 3 self driving

slow driving but still impressive! Not crazy hypermiling. New batteries, improved efficiency in aero and drivetrain and better charging infrastructure and charging speeds will make EVs so much better! And they're great already!
An impressive achievement for EV I guess, but still got a lot to catch up on ICE when it comes to range. If you put a C-Class or E-Class with ICE on that trip which is mostly highway without traffic junction 1000km with one tank should also be achievable.
More interesting imo would be the ice running as far as possible on the same energy as this has. Which btw is LESS than 3 gallons of reg gas or about 2.5 gallons worth of road diesel. As gas is 33.7kwhs per gallon and road diesel is 37.9kwhs per gallon in total energy. 😀👍🏻
Natürlich führt man so einen Test unter "optimalen Bedingungen" durch. Und dazu gehört auch der Speed, der nah am optimalen Effizienz-Fenster liegen wird ... und dennoch sind 1.010 km Reichweite beeindruckend ... vor allem wenn am Ende dann immer noch 309 km übrig sind! 🤪

Imagine driving a Mercedes at 70 kmph on a superfast roadway to dubai (1010km in 14.5 hours). Still if we drive fast we can manage to get 600 I believe. So it's fine on the other side.
prob cruised at 70- 80km/hr (cant calculate as we don't know time spent in city driving). if a car can do 1000km in single charge at crusing speed of 110km/hr at 5 celsius or 45 celsius, then that would be something
The air conditioning system was operational during the trip with minimal negative impact on energy efficiency thanks in part to the multi-source heat pump. 😉
When will Mercedes-Benz develop solid-state batteries? It will definitely be a new revolution for the automotive industry, with shorter charging times and a range of up to 800 km per charge.
Averaging 68km/h. I love EVs and own one, but that range claim is not a practical real world claim. I want to know what the range would be while doing 110km/h.
