It's good to see these people blowing off a little stress from their day-to-day hassles. A long time ago I was an EMT. The EMS system is full of awesome people who are rarely shown in this light.
Lol EMT here... I did the 2020 and 2021 one chip challenge...What could possibly go wrong?? An hour and 25 minutes into it, I thought I was dying due to burning a hole in my small intestine and bleeding out... and this is why I didn't call 911, I didn't want our team to show up and laugh at me. My pride choose to go with sepsis from fecal matter over being embarrassed. I lasted over 5 hours without eating nor drinking anything.
Health care staff DESERVE a damn break!! For all you whining and complaining about people in the waiting area and so on... just as you go to your 9-5 and get a BREAK... they do too🙄
VancouverCanucksRock for all you know, this could have been 3am. It’s an ER staff. They know their downtime. They are human and I’m sure everything was fine.
VancouverCanucksRock you’re telling ME, you’ve never seen a break room with more than 10 people in there?? Ok... hospitals employ more than 1700 doctors alone. I’m sure people have the same break time. My doctors get 30 mins lunches. Same time. This video is 8:16 UNEDITED🤨 they get a break... you people are ridiculous
This is the best thing ever!!!! I am glad and honored to see the doctors do this challenge. reality it only shows you how hot this challenge is and what your body system does
ER docs have a lot more mental discipline than the average Joe. I used to host a monthly pepper eating challenge at my house. Every time, our friend the ENT surgeon won with ease.
This one made me laugh. Being from the medical side of a job I can appreciate the medical info to explain how this works and he's funny. He took it better than most others I've seen so I gotta give him props for doing this. Great video
This is the only safe place I would try one of these !! Good for them to have a little break after all their hard work especially when they do graveyard shift!!
I can not believe how cool calm and collected these two men handled it. All the other videos ive watched of peeps taking this challenged absolutely went off the edge and splatted after about a five mile fall off the cliff. As for me i would have been over the edge simply being in the same room as these two people.
I know, I have watched a bunch of these, but until today I did not realize how tuff those doctors were.....I have seen people beg others to take the into ER because they thought that they were having a heart attack, rolling around on the floor, crying because it hurt so bad and these two act like it was nothing.......great job......your the Champs in my book.
I don’t know where you live but where I live I have only waited to the most 20-30 minutes. I might not see a doc immediately. But they get you in a bed and comfortable. If in pain a doc comes in and approves pain medication.
Great job doc....you were one of the best that I've every seen. You were simply amazing! You have my respect. I still can't believe how calm you were. Great video---
So many people unaware of what actually goes on in ERs. Its not like the TV shows guys..at least not everywhere and most definitely not all the time. I live in NYC right across from a trauma center-- and theres down time too. You can tell just by the noise in the background. No need to bash. Anyway! Great content!
This was really cool seeing how it physically affects the human body. And DAYUM he is a trooper....I appreciate the perspective. And it was funny af too!
Takes forever to see a doctor in an ER because they are treating EMERGENCIES. If you’re complaining about wait times you’ve never worked in an ER, and you’re probably healthy enough to be seen at your primary care provider
ER staff can be pretty stoic. We have to be. He looks like a resident so he has even MORE to prove. You guys are my people and I enjoyed this video. They both did great. Now make the attending try! Lol Signed, ER RN Level 1 Trauma Center Upstate NY
Wow they handled it well. Compared to a lot of other challengers. Nice video you guys! I always feel comfortable around a medical crew. It don’t get any better than that!✌🏻
He has done the best ive seen so far 5 mins into it...butttt in his mind he's prolly thinking oh well I'll be fine Im in a hospital already and have 4 other trained pros with me...I think that def keeps him going alot longer than the normal person would w.out even drinking milk or anything!!! 😂
You all are doing great compared to at least 100 other videos I have watched the both of you are more relaxed then anyone else I have seen congratulations!
Hearing, "you can put the Adenosine back" as someone with SVT who has had the displeasure of needing that before, it made me laugh. Also made me nervous because if tachycardia is a typical response (I was already assuming it is one), I don't know if I can do the challenge now *dang it* Great job, guys!
Hilarious! We are all insane in the medical field. You 2 are brave for doing this in front of others... I was mortified at the thought of our team showing up for my jackassery! Lol Only reason I didn't call 911 is because I am 911. Lol
His blood pressure soaring as it did is enough for anyone to reconsider doing this outside of the hospital ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.. I would never do this!!
Considering my last ER visit was one hour, and I saw one nurse, and a doctor for probably a total of 10 minutes, my bill was just about $5,000! The personnel in this video represents at least a quarter of a million $$$$!!!
Elevated blood pressure 183 ? Gees that's high , get that man a calcium channel blocker and beta blocker, straight up blokes going to have a heart attack haha
Them being surrounded by doctors and medical equipment makes the experience less intense. I think one of the main reasons why we see so many people freak out is because they lack the comfort of knowing if they are really having a heart attack or dying. I personally am curious about how hot it really is but I know for a fact I would not eat it. To me it’s not worth it at all.
