I had no idea that The Eradicator had an origin prior to The Reign of the Superman. Excellent work, Marvelous, you're the only comic book channel that I have subscribed that has covered The Eradicator's true origins.
Ironically enough, Eradicator Superman is more like what people want Superman to be. If people want a darker grittier Superman, they should really use Eradicator rather than try to change Superman.
@@GREG_Khar-NÜ-Metalhead2000 having him as a top Lex Luthor henchman would really raise the stakes when it comes to Superman fighting Lex in order to keep Metropolis safe
Yep, and his comic was by far my favorite during the Reign of the Supermen arc. Superboy was just annoying and Cyborg screamed villain from the first panel. Steel was cool, but he wasn't even close to being a Superman.
You think Lois, Bruce, perhaps even Jonathan and/or *MARTHA* ever became exasperated and said: 'Clark, you can't just yeet all your problems into the Sun!'? Then Kal is all 'I sure as Hell _can_ yeet all my problems into the Sun. Besides, they were sooo asking for it, every one of 'em! The bastiches were wrecking the whole planet, and worse!' A pause, then: 'You've been hanging out with Lobo, again, haven't you?'
This is honestly one of my absolute favorite Superman origins also reading this for the first time and finding out that the Eradicator Built the Fortress of Solitude.
there was a slight error in your video the eradicator could not deride energy from the sun, he had to use superman's body to power himself. With the help of the recovery matrix.
The Eradicator would be a worthy opponent for Black Adam ( Both the live action DCEU Version and Comic Boy Version), they can swap and have Saaback combat DCEU Black Suit Superman!
@@RodRod82 That was Galatea, not Powergirl. Galatea doesn't have a cape, her gloves, boots and belt are all white, Powergirl's are blue. And she has a different hairstyle too I believe. Either way, Powergirl is not a clone. And sorry if I come across as a know-it-all ass, that is not my intention.
I gotta say I like The Eradicator and Cyborg Superman more than the Superman... They are pretty much as powerful but Wayyyy more Bad Ass!! * in Negan voice* lol
There are too many Superman clones in DCEU. The writers need to be more creative and write stories about Supergirl or introduce new surviving Kryptonians and villains.
Dceu what? There's only 1 superman there, and its comic! And another Kryptonian including Supergirl is CRAP bcs it destroy the whole purpose of last son of Krypton
Every single iteration of superman is just plain boring. It’s like a five-year-old thought of a super hero and just gave him everything. There’s no conflict.
Nah! U're just either blindly hate him for no reason bcs he's "too good" or u never read about him! U are the type who thinks quirky, clown, embarrassing character like modern deadpool a cool, interesting character cuz u grew and live by that kinda morality and state of mind! Calm, collected, wise character who's def the type of people who's successful in life :boring Quirky, clearly mentally unstable, ecstatic, clowning around, childish grown ups, losers who's def the type that u ppl end up? A poor, can't decide his/her identity, can't decide what stable job they should get, can't decide what life is! Yeah modern 2010s deadpool's coolest character ever if u are those kinda person.
The only people that say that, are people who don’t read his comics. He derives all his power from the sun, so any character that can absorb or manipulate energy at a high level is life threatening to Superman. Many of his villains have this ability innately or through tech. Another thing about Superman is his durability comes from his bio-electric aura, which surrounds his body like a protective life force, it’s also the reason he can lift planes without poking through them like they mentioned on “the boys”, his bio electric aura can extend to protect what he touches. The reason I bring this up is because MAGIC bypasses this aura and hits him directly. (this is why people say he’s vulnerable to magic) So any enemy who wields magic at a high level can actually engage him in a real fight and do damage back.
