Best video I’ve ever watched, Dr Agarwal for old graduates should they merge experiences in one box, like 4 observerships in one box and 2 externships in one box
It's not possible to group the US Clinical experiences as each 'Organization', 'Start , end date' and 'City, State' is very likely to be different for each clinical experience. You will need to prioritize which observerships/externships you will be including among the 10 experiences and which ones will need to be left out (if you have >10 such experiences). Thanks @bilalbashir for your ? and glad you found my video to be valuable!
Thanks for so much of useful information. I have 2 questions: 1) In the experience section while we describe the roles and responsibilities do we also need to add a line as to how that key characteristic that we chose was fulfilled through that experience? 2) In the education section the column which asks about the gap do we need to say a yes only if that gap was due to non academic or any unprofessional behaviour. If it was due to some other personal reasons do we need to say a no for it. Any insights into the above would be helpful. Thanks
1) You don't have to explain how the key characteristic was fulfiled through the experience. Thus you will not see that in my examples in the webinar. 2) Its very difficult to answer your question with the little info you provided. I have explained extensions and interruptions in this video at time point ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-njpxWimyxE0.htmlsi=xA60YlXomRktyQRm&t=2411 . Thank you @aakritiaggarwal-ek6kt for your ?
As my major source of information, I hope I get my answers to this question. If I’m my experience is still ongoing, do I still have to use past tense or I can use present tense? Eg “ participated” instead of “participate “ . Thank you.🙏
It is grammatically incorrect to use a past tense for something that is currently happening. OK to use 'participate' for your experience. Thanks @michaelfaraday8391 for your ?
Thank you for your response. I appreciate that wholeheartedly. I’m a graduate as far back 2019 and have no connection with my medical school. Can I still use my medical school as the “organization “ in reference to a research as my experience?
It's best to use the name of the institute you were at when you did the research study or where the data was collected from. I don't see any major problem using the med school name especially if your mentor/senior author in your paper is also from your medical school. Good luck @michaelfaraday8391 for your ?
I recommend you combine the 2 into 1 experience in your ERAS CV as both the clinical and research work happened in the same institution and time frame (maybe even with the same mentor!). Thanks @joshuaemina8224 for your ?
Can applicant write a about less than 10 experiences or we have to stick to the 10? Also please explain to me the differences between research experience and publication? I’m kinda confused between the two. Thank you.
Excellent video. I had a doubt pertaining to the research section. Im one of the authors of a paper that has been presented in the form of a poster at multiple conferences/events. I did not present this poster although my name is present on the poster as an author. Can I include it under the poster presentation section?
Absolutely yes! Being a coauthor in this poster, you can certainly include this poster presentation(s) in ERAS. Congrats and Good Luck for #Match2025. Thanks @dhruvgandhi2409 for your ?
