Mate what you said about reverse engineering the basses is how you learn I respect that so much bcos I’ve said the exact thing to so many of my producer friends and I think they are too shook or selfish of letting others know the secrets!!! Your the best bro I beg you make some old school dub zone tunes again keep smashing it!!!
Ok, so monophonic means you can only play one note at once, not two or more. For example u can't play a chord when serum is set to "mono" in the "Voicing" section, since you can only play single notes. That setting can be used together with "porta" to create a gliding effect. Ex: Set Mono, Set porta to 100ms, Play F0 and then C1 and you will hear how the pitch sort of ramps up. Now when it comes to mid/side signal information, which is a completely different topic, your low end should in almost every case be mono (which does not refer to monophonic, it refers to the mid signal). You can have different midrange harmonics or high end in stereo but the lows should be mono. Hope I've made myself clear :D
Sick!! I'm visually Impaired and tbh the tutorial was a little bit quick for me to follow along with. Managed to come up with something similar but it doesn't sound as good IMO. Sick tutorial though as always!!!!! Could you do a deeper DnB pack in the style of people like Alix Perez, Enei, Skeptical, GLŸPH etc, please?
I have a friend with the same struggle, you can go into settings and play at half time or even slower to keep up while making the patch. hope it helps. cheers.
@@erbndub thanks man, I may download it later sounds sick. In your opinion what are perez and skeptical doing with their drums, you reckon they use nice samples from packs, then resample and layer etc..? Alot of drums in the minimal scene now sound crazy nice bro
@@erbndub yeh sometimes mate, got into a habit of using drum hits from packs, layering them and using plugins etc,, bouncing them out, putting them back in and tweaking them. Got groove agent so may go to town on drums with that and see what happens!
SRAY thanks bro. I can’t explain how to use serum whilst explaining how to make the patch. It would make explaining the patch too long winded. I would watch a tutorial on how to use serum and then re watch it
