If they have Boots in Ireland you need to check out the No 7 custom foundation drops. I picked up 2 shades from Target and I am so impressed! Cool vanilla is a pretty close match for me right now and porcelain will likely work well in the winter for me (and as a mixer during the fall). For reference, shade 104 in cyo lifeproof also works well for me at this time of year. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Love seeing you in Ireland. You’re looking so well and pretty relaxed. I received a sample of the same Erborian shade and not only did it darken but I looked as orange as a Cheeto and we know how THAT look scares young children and adults alike. Anyway, thank you for the video and am loving that Viseart nude palette. Can’t spend 80 dollars, but if there happens to be a huge sale or dupe, I’ll jump on it. I love that ethereal look on you. This is my favorite “Foundation “ product. I use an hourglass ambient powder to set it and it’s great all day. LOVE!!

I'm a Viseart junkie and it's definitely a slippery slope! My favorite is Cool Mattes 2. I use it daily on it's own or as a base palette. This CC Cream would be way too dark for me but I love your eye look!

Have fun Shelly. I picked up the LA Girl white pigment mix in at Ulta. Now at least I can wear some foundations that have been sitting around, that stuff goes a long way. Haven’t tried it with ones that oxidize yet. I bought the blue one too but haven’t tried it yet, it’s supposed to counter orange tones. Ireland background love it.

Loved visiting with you in Ireland! Too bad this shade got too dark bc it looked really nice on you at first. The self adjusting shade products never work on me either, I'm more light than fair but I've never had one that adjusted right.

hey Shelly! I was wondering how you were able to pre film all these videos but editing them in Ireland makes sense. I see you got the MAC face and Body! Im almost nervous for you to end up hating it! LOL remember its a little gel like, you have to shake it good, rub some in your fingertips until it starts to set up a bit, then rub it into your face. its very elastic feeling and moveable it does not feel "set" when I hear "set" I think dry for some reason. This is not like that. I can't wait for you to try it 🤘🏻

I love this as an oily skin gal (but dehydrated) but like you, the shade is off for me too. I got it in dore and im nc30-nc35 but it's too dark and i'm pretty sure clair would be too light. But i love it enough to buy the clair so i can mix the 2 shades.

So many things are too light because they have too much white pigment or way too dark on me lately. I tried the DE tinted sunscreen but that makes my face a bit orange and super oily. Looking forward to the new Urban Decay, CT and PM foundations!! Do you have a special event makeup video? If not, I'd love to see one ❤

No apology needed! Ireland looks lovely. In terms of what I would like to see; Pat McGrath is coming out with a foundation, setting powder, and I believe a concealer. Also, CT has a new foundation coming out in August. It has a very interesting color corrector coming out at the same time called Vanish ( I believe). I know these products tend to empty the bank account, but wish list...

I always had my eye n this but could never bite the bullet as couldn't work out the shades. I am a medium skin tone and tanned in summer and thought they would both be too light. If this , the lightest shade is dark they may be hope for me with the darker shade! Might try a sample from Ebay and mix it if it's no good xoxo

I am so jealous! Ireland looks beautiful. Now, about that cream. Why can’t these companies make a color matching cream that stays the color it first turns?! I tried the L’Oreal BB one on a recommendation and it looked okay at first, but I turned into a well baked cookie! Or cake. Either way, you and I are about the same fairness and I don’t need to look like a baked cookie by 4 hours in! I’m Norwegian and northern Italian. We are not known for our sun kissed complexions. Light-->lobster. That’s my color gradient. I’m one of my grandpa’s water color paintbrushes dipped in brown, color washed over one of his beach-scapes and then rinsed in a cup of fresh water. I don’t “bronze” unless it involves a makeup brush and Lumi Bronzer in Light. Ugh! Sorry for the rant and thanks for letting me vent. Enjoy the last few days on the Emerald Isle.

"Building it up" as you did no doubt gave your skin a lot of extra pigment on both sides of your face which did not appear until a little while later. I find it gets darkest with the heat of one's face and the day, even if you force the pigments to make their appearance using your hands initially.

Thanks for the review. This was a horror show on me (and their redness correcting cc as well.) If you have a lot of redness (like Rosacea), it's a bust. Just made me redder since it matches your face tone, not your neck or chest.

I'm not Shelly, but I can give a suggestion. Try Makeup Revolution, you can purchase at Ulta (in store too!!) if you're in the US or MR ships international too. I always sort by new arrivals on Ulta, and they have come out with some incredible colorful eye palettes, a bunch look like collabs with YT's. I have both of the Soph x revolution palettes and LOVE them! Hope this helps and good luck on the Halloween looks!!

You are very welcome! You really can't go wrong with either choice, I love BH, I have quite a few of their palettes too! If you can get to an Ulta, they sometimes have a few BH products in store and don't forget you can use a coupon on both BH & MR bc they're considered drugstore!

I use This All the time on " No make Up make Up Days". My skin is actually more fair than Yours - I think ( har to tell on RU-vid). But the coleradapting Works on my skin. Maybee it has something to do with your pH on the skin, serum or who knows. You need to smugde it over with a sponge or beautyblender to stop it from buliding Up . I actually often use it on its own and cover a few veins and spots with concealer. You can allso use a CC/BB Powder on top like the one from Physisians Formular. ( That is my gardening make Up ) The only problem for me is that it is sooo expensive in Denmark. The tube You got There is allmost 100 $ in Denmark. I buy it by the bulk when i Thailand. It is actually ok without primer and You can use it as a base/primer - maybee then it Will not become so dark on You. Great SPF in it - Works. Erborian allso make a BB cream. It is ok but it has a powdery , heavy finish i do not like if You try to build Up the cover. So be very carefull with the amout of product You put on your face if You decide to try out the BB cream. But the texture is a Lot more greasy but the colour is way lighter.

Disappointing...they have a red correct CC cream I would have tried but this reminds me of L'Oreal's CC creams. Not worth the risk. Very pretty in the beginning. Safe travels 💖

"Everyone just wants to name things about drugs and sex regardless of what the product does." I laughed. I had to pause the video and comment to say that I was in Ulta the other day wandering around and overheard some pre-teens/teenagers giggling over the NARS products. I don't think I'd really considered the raunchy names they use until I heard some 13 year olds trying to talk about which products they liked and being almost unable to finish their sentences with how much they were laughing. It made me pretty uncomfortable, honestly. But I know that if I had been aware of those products when I was 13, I would have giggled over them with my friends, too. Edited to add: I would love to hear your thoughts on the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up. It's technically a concealer, but the founder says that it can be worn as a foundation.

I imagine there are probably younger girls that are uncomfortable with all of it - some probably (hopefully?) don't yet know what the words mean, others know it's something about sex but are unsure - it just seems unnecessary to me. Does anybody really buy blush because they think it's as good as having an orgasm or will make them look like they've just had one? Do we buy the mascara to see if it really is better than sex? Many girls start wearing makeup as pre-teens and while I certainly wasn't getting prestige branded makeup as a kid, there are kids that grow up in higher tax brackets than I did and have access to that makeup. I don't know. It seems unnecessary and not really helpful for the adults, either. /end rant lol :-D I've wondered about the RMS - I'll add it to my list!

No big deal for the lost footage. We got the idea from the 4 hour check-in. Nothing was going to make that any better. I am astonished that something labelled "Fair" is that dark. Interesting concept but a hard pass. Your eyes did look fabulous in the video. The first thing I thought was how pretty the mascara looked. Also, the Viseart palettes are a win. I really like the Paris Nudes because it has soft shimmer versions of virtually every colour you could want. But I admit to being biased in favour of Viseart generally.

It really boggles my mind because having been in Ireland the past 6 weeks, I am nowhere near the palest of the pale. There's a whole country of people over here more pale than me! Same with deep shades. The ends of the lightness/darkness spectrum are no small number of people!

@@goow And finding concealers is even harder than foundations. For the longest time I never understood beauty gurus who talked about having a brightened under eye because I had never seen a concealer that was that light and not yellow. I'm not the palest of the pale, but I am very light with red hair and there is nothing worse than having to blend foundation all the way into your cleavage because otherwise you have a very obvious line of demarcation.

Yes, I KNEW this would happen to you because I wear this whenever I have a nice fake tan going on. I absolutely love the stuff, because the white cream continues to give the skin a subtle glow even after the color beads turn darker. I can only imagine what the Dore color would have looked like after the color fully developed on the skin!! But even if you do not manipulate the CCCreme enough with your fingers to get the color to show right away, the heat of your skin or a warm day will do it within the hour.
