Something I learned doing a driving school a couple of years ago is to look past the car in front you. Look further down the road so you can see upcoming traffic, brakes lights, accidents etc. I’ve been driving for 18 years and never knew to do that.

The blinker thing is very true. I know that I've relied on the fact that a blinker means it works for my entire driving life (I'm 58). In Florida (especially) there are groups of people that will put their blinker on in the hopes that you'll pull out, and then they don't turn and you hit them. It's an insurance scam... I ALWAYS wait until they actually turn, much to the annoyance of the drivers behind me. 🤷♀️
