After a few iterations in design and comfort, the ErgoBox will be a great controller. I never imagined that this product was developed in Chile. I am glad that this idea has been able to go forward despite the pandemic and the social outbreak experienced in the country.

I bought this quite a while ago and have never stopped loving it. Very comfortable and didn't take me long to get used to it, in fact I really like having the extra thumb buttons on top and use them a lot. It helped clear up my wrist pain which resulted from using the hitbox, and I gotta say to everyone just take care of your wrists before it's too late!

I really appreciate that conversations related to health and accessibility are happening in gaming now. This could be an awesome controller for someone who wants to game but has carpal tunnel (or even just a job with a lot of typing). Awesome review! :)

I haven't tried the hitbox layout yet, but this looks so good that I might get one once they extend the front of the base.

I'm so happy this exists, and I'm glad they're still iterating on the design. I hope others also step up and think about how we can make controllers of all kinds better suited to the human body.

I definitely want to try one of these out at some point. I switched to the OG Hitbox in January, and both loved it and hated it. The way I need to rest my hands definitely caused more harm than good. (for people who can float their hands over it, this probably isn't a problem). But I did find that I loved a stickless controller. I was given a Snackbox micro by a very generous friend, and I am in love with it. the design lets me wrest my wrists on my legs, which feels much better than the edge of the Hitbox. I can play much longer on it than on any controller I've used before. But it doesn't do anything about long term pronation the way the Ergo box does, so I am very keen to get my hands on one at some point. Glad to hear your wife gave it her approval for her wrist comfort.

Thanks for the great review! My thoughts: that price isn't "bad", but it could either be a little cheaper, OR they could improve the quality on the few things you mentioned. Possible customization options (colors, LEDs, etc) would also help justify a higher price. I would definitely be interested in one if they can improve some of those things in the future. For the audience it was intended for: this is amazing and worth every penny. For a hitbox/fightsick collector, it needs a little more. also - how long before they get hit with the C&D from Hitbox, LUL. sorry, had to do it :p *edit - I see there are a couple color options on the site. very cool. :)

i wonder how well it works for someone with smaller hands like i. its one of my biggest issues with ergonomic stuff my thumbs especially dont reach all that far

My dad and brother had problems with their hands, from playing guitar. I just do games, no guitar - I'm a little paranoid I'll eventually get it though.

Well, I am old, and work a lot with the keyboard and mouse - I have a thumb driven trackball for that matter - but have little to no issues with a fight stick or a Hitbox. I think there are a lot of physiological differences involved here to see with which you are comfortable with. But it is always great if someone addresses potential issues.

I got a lot of wrist issues with the hitbox (so did sajam, and we both had to take a break from wrist usage for a manner of months), swapped to ergobox and I've been loving everything about it

To be honest i already know most that controller don't have the ideal shape in fact the shape is kind of bad for multiple reasons do you ever wonder why I'm not able to use all the button and the stick at the same time this not great design also way most buttons used for the same figure instead to used other fingers this limited how to create the game I know way the companys don't change the controller layout the reason is because people are familiar with it but this doesn't make this shape idial

Nah the Arcade Fight stick still is the standard this is an ugly and overcomplicated layout HARD PASS ...

Ugly yes. Overcomplicated I wouldn't agree. Just different. I remember similar arguments about the Hitbox when they first appeared years ago and now those designs have become so popular and deemed more efficient.
