Ahhh I love this so much!!! The 1989 version was my favorite growing up, and the live action version went above and beyond everything I even wanted it to be. Loved how it filled out their relationship and personalities so much more and the edit you've done here!!!

Totally agree! The original version forever remains a childhood classic and the remake just fills all the little missing details in the original. These versions both complete each other and thats so beautiful 🥺💙🐚✨

I absolutely love this, in my opinion the live action was even more amazing than the original (and that's saying a lot, I love the original) and Eric and Ariel had so much chemistry, and Ariel's songs and reprise's are sung with so much heart. Amazing film and this edit is beautiful. Thanks so much for making it, brought tears to my eyes.

When I saw this in theaters, I loved how tender it was during "Kiss the Girl" when Ariel figures out a way to teach Eric how to say her name. She didn't need assistance from Sebastian (not that I have anything against him telling Eric that the princess's name is Ariel in the animated film), she figured out a way to communicate with him on her own using what HE (Eric) taught her about the constellations. 3:51 (The way her eyes are revolving) "Wait, this doesn't add up. He loves hanging out with me. This is not the prince that I know and fell in love with! What went wrong?"

I loved the live action remake of The Little Mermaid so so much. I really loved how they added more to the story of Eric and Ariel, and how they bonded over a love of exploring and collecting treasures. I also really liked how Ariel taught Eric how to say her name since she couldn't speak. It was nicely done. The chemistry between Halle and Jonah was so so good. They made such a pretty and very cute couple. I just loved everything about this movie. I could go on and on. 🤩💕💗 This is such a beautiful edit of Ariel and Prince Eric. Nicely done!

I like the orginal but I absolutely love the live action much much more. Jonah and Halle were both fantastic. Love their chemistry in the film and I love the story they created for Eric. How he got adopted by a king and queen as a young boy after being shipwrecked and orphaned.

The Little Mermaid happens to be one of the better live-action adaptations in my opinion. Halle and Jonah certainly became the best chemistry in a while ❤.

In the 1989 version, the plot made me feel like Ariel was this naive, impulsive, and irresponsible girl who made a "legal" deal with the SEA WITCH who made it VERY clear what the terms and conditions were to get to be human for some time and KNEW everything but was TOO excited to not focus on the agenda. However, in the live-action, Ariel was honestly tricked by the SEA WITCH by erasing her memory of the details of the terms and conditions of the deal, making the situation challenging. I loved Ariel and Eric's relationship in the live-action. I liked both the 1989 version and the live-action because there are pros and cons on either side but plot-wise an improvement.

Actually when I heard the news that Ariel's live action character is gonna be played by a black woman, I was truly disappointed because I was growing up watching my little mermaid played by a white woman, but gosh Halle is so freaking beautiful. She's the best Ariel we never thought we will have.

To be honest , i don't know what the public opinion is but personally I don't like that they changed the original character. I just think of other Disney Princesses that are black and have their own places in our hearts But if you take someone else's seat I don't know anymore but one thing I'm sure is that several fans will be in shock i thought too the films are original copy of animation. Please don't mistake what I mean.

It's too bad they can't use a black actress in a faery tale from the black culture. They are only allowed to culturally appropriate from Denmark to insert a black character. It's not like there aren't any stories, the powers that be would rather insert a black character rather than produce a black story.
