He had an insane 3 years. So many big plays. Was so close to breaking the all-time interception return yardage record too. He had the athleticism of a CB but the physicality of a LB (5:54). There have been some great safeties since he was drafted but none better.
The Best DB that has ever played at Tennessee. One of the best ever in the SEC & College Football. Not only was he a ball hawker, he tackled well, and was a heat seeking missile. So fun to watch!
One of the most Gifted defensive backs ever. Its a shame he had to go through adversity after he got to the nfl. Only college safeties better than berry were sean taylor and mike doss
Was so happy to meet him just for a second after the game at KY right before they got on the bus. It would wind up being his last regular season game for TN. It was one of those right place right time things so I didn't have anything for him to sign so him, Hardesty and Crompton all signed my TN hoodie I wore to the game lol. It's now hangs framed in my office haha.
Wow sounds remarkable. My team has won majority of the national championships since 2007 and have won 15 of the last 16 meetings against the team that killed my childhood football fandom. I'll take all those trophies and team success over a signed Eric Berry hoodie
