I keep coming back to this powerful earthly song. Bass is rendering heart beat of humanity, drum beat is depicting tormented anxious mind, emotions are revealed on the surface of the soaring guitar solo and Eric's warm capturing voice hintingly lead us towards hope in hopeless world.
Literally just heard this for the first time an hour ago on WXPN . They said its new blues. Told my Son it sounds like old blues. (Which I love and prefer) I was moving to it as I tried to back into the driveway. I haven't heard anything like that in a looong time. I gotta play my blues harp to this and get lost in it! AMAZING! Saved Lemon Lightning
There is hope for the Blues we live in today!!! All of Psalm 37 is good to read. Of special note is: Psalm 37:10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
Eric Gales is on my list of must see shows. Sometimes I wonder if he isn’t the reincarnation of the greatest Jimi Hendrix. Watch, he plays a right handed guitar even though he is left handed. Also his sound. It will only get better with time,
Thank you Eric! Laugh those who laugh, mourn with those who mourn. So many fearful people not recognizing the Lord's goodness and sovereignty. He's on the throne forevermore. Eric, you aren't shown playing in this video and your fingers look blackened. Are you and your hands ok? I'll pray for you. Lord bless and keep you. Thank you for using your many talents to point people to Jesus! I'd love you see you perform in person! I'm in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I noticed a few years ago that you were to play in Edmonton for a festival. Such a gift 🎁. Blessing dear brother.
I'm so glad I found you and your music. I don't know where I ran across you first but I love listening to you. This is certainly a timely song. Hope you and yours are well!
Sound amazing Eric. I remember you playing some years ago Needed time and Get onboard on radio. Live! Wow, I still remember. That was magic. But this shure is too. How can you sound so ageless and stay so young? :)
just fantastic Eric, you have a great voice. And Eric Gales is my all time #1 fav on guitar. This takes me back in time to Robert Johnson and Mississippi John Hurt, also reminds me a lot of Keb Mo .......... well done sir !!!
Wow, talk about hitting the note with some powerful lyrics. Thank you for putting your words into a song that I think everyone can relate to at this time.
WOW- strong and powerful and sad and vivid! One of your best songs until now. Saw you live in Germany in 2004 or so in concert with Jackie Leven or Ron Sexsmith or Luka Bloom...bought a CD, never forgot your voice and playing...like your music for years since then. This new song goes straight into the heart.
What a fantastic song! I thoroughly enjoyed this. It speaks to my heart. Just wanted to say Eric you inspire me. I play the piano and hope to be able to write songs like this in the future for God's glory. You are amazing Eric! God bless!
You remind me, always, of life's priorities. Much love to you and your music makers. My house is rocking with soul, spirit and truth ❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴🏴❤️❤️❤️
I can definitely sympathize with the message in this song. The elections in US and the recent Grammy’s were disgusting and a disgrace. I would have much rather had your songs at Grammy’s. My 2 favorites of your are “I want Jesus to Walk with Me” and “Don’t Ever Let Nobody Tear Your Spirit Down.” Listen to some songs on my RU-vid. I don’t play an instrument but I write songs and sing them. We have to choose to focus on Our heavenly father and his words encourage ourselves singing to him.
Wonderful to see and hear you again - last time was over 30 years ago in Stockholm where we were friends, along with Daoud, Ivan Krillzarin (who passed away a few years ago), Cindee Peters, Amedeo Nicoletti, and many others. I left Stockholm in 1979 and moved back to Geneva, Switzerland. You and a bunch of our musician friends stayed at my house near Geneva for a few days when you were on your way back to Stockholm after some gigs - in Spain or somewhere. Glad to see you going strong, stay safe. :)
